This headline gets my AAA rating.

Shocking. Thankfully the cleanup teams are eveready.

Gecko Gingrich [TotalFark] 2010-03-10 09:37:58 PM
Are you positive?

DoctorCal [TotalFark] 2010-03-10 09:53:56 PM
He was pulling a U turn. The sign said "No Outlet".

My Baloney Has No First Name 2010-03-10 10:24:54 PM
Ex-cell-ent.

Oh god...the puns just keep on going, and going, and going...

What a revolting headline.

humanshrapnel 2010-03-10 10:26:19 PM
Alkali was suspected as a factor in the crash.

DarthBart 2010-03-10 10:26:41 PM
That's a lot of acid that got dropped.

No Catchy Nickname 2010-03-10 10:27:35 PM
It wasn't the driver's fault. Lithium alone!

Disturbing Porn Choreographer 2010-03-10 10:28:35 PM
Hey guys! Watts going on in this thread?

Funk Brothers [TotalFark] 2010-03-10 10:28:37 PM
So it stop and did not keep going?

Herb Utsmelz [TotalFark] 2010-03-10 10:28:55 PM
FTA: Highway 150 between Independence and County Road D-47 is closed because of this semi accident.

I'd call this a full accident.

DPWbrc 2010-03-10 10:29:01 PM
Musta happened near D.C.

Damn you, No Catchy Nickname!

vudukungfu 2010-03-10 10:29:50 PM
I'd wreck, too, if I was drivin' a bunch of bipolar units around.

Kar98 2010-03-10 10:29:53 PM
Charge him with assault and battery.

valar_morghulis 2010-03-10 10:30:30 PM
I can tell this thread will be polarizing.

js530 2010-03-10 10:30:50 PM
That had the potential to be much worse

humanshrapnel 2010-03-10 10:31:10 PM
I hear the driver may have to sit in jail faraday.

Loren 2010-03-10 10:31:28 PM
The problem was he was going way too fast. Note that those are car batteries. If a lead foot is going too fast, what's a lead load going to do??

Kar98 2010-03-10 10:31:36 PM
So 45,000 pounds is the capacity of a semi then?

vudukungfu 2010-03-10 10:31:54 PM
Kar98: Charge him with assault and battery.

those charges aren't grounded unless you can prove he broke ohm's law

DaddyRat 2010-03-10 10:31:56 PM
That sure must have been somethin'....

Sorry, I'm not up to date on current legal procedures.

vudukungfu: I'd wreck, too, if I was drivin' a bunch of bipolar units around.

It's OK if they're filled with lithium.

TehNacho [TotalFark] 2010-03-10 10:34:12 PM
Kar98: So 45,000 pounds is the capacity of a semi then?

As long as you don't put them in backwards...

This thread has a lot of potential.

Did he call AAA?

Slick Johnson 2010-03-10 10:40:14 PM
All of these negative comments are really shocking

mantrum 2010-03-10 10:40:15 PM
Positive that the driver was on his cell. OHMg.

Mr. Potatoass 2010-03-10 10:40:35 PM
LOL. Try powering a clock with your ass.

indylaw 2010-03-10 10:40:39 PM
humanshrapnel: I hear the driver may have to sit in jail faraday.

Only if he was charged with resistance of an officer. Otherwise he'll only be inserted in AA and the courts will keep an ion him.

Oooh, I like that. Not quite as good as Zombo.com, though.

It was just after dark when the truck started down
the hill that leads into Scranton Pennsylvania.
Carrying forty-five thousand pounds of batteries.

indylaw 2010-03-10 10:48:59 PM
Watt do you guys want? It's not like the guy had any real power. It's not like he was transporting the Crown Joules.

C'mon, guys, if we want this thread to make two pages we're going to have to get the lead out!

I suppose I'll just have to drop some acid and chug some Jolt to induce me to make more lightning-fast puns.

supek 2010-03-10 10:53:45 PM
I spoke with the driver of the semi. He said that he drove into the water on purpose. He thought that the batteries were overheating and he wanted to coulomb down.
