Now if her fans would only see the light and leave her. Talentless Biatch, got her fame by tossing her hair, looking pouty and marrying Tom Cruise. We could aim that senior citizen who hit the Jehovah's Witnesses toward her -

Warchild [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 02:08:30 PM
I'll have a Clamato to celebrate.

CrazyCurt 2003-04-20 02:25:13 PM
She'd better watch out for SEAorg, I hear they tend to kidnap and kill people -- "accidentally" of course. Clammies suck, real evil buggers, as bad as tweakers.

I think every Farker's favorite scientologist, whether they know it or not is Nancy Cartwright, voice of Bart and Nelson, etc.

threepwood 2003-04-20 04:21:43 PM
Future headline: "Nicole Kidman missing in Tampa."

Peteykins 2003-04-20 07:00:48 PM
One time I got tired of being asked every day if I would take the Scientology personality test, so I took it and answered every question in the worst possible way. They took it from me and, all chirpy, said "Ok! Let's take a look!" After looking it over they got really quiet and let me escape.

brunowolfe 2003-04-20 07:46:44 PM
I never cease to be amazed at the amount of attention the talentless biatch, her talentless ex-husband, and that silly invented cult of sciencefictionology get....pfffft

ScottMpls 2003-04-20 07:47:23 PM
I'd bet she's hanging out with a cult that practices human sacrifices now ... :)

Sinatra 2003-04-20 07:47:55 PM
I thought they kill you if you try to leave.

chz668 [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 07:48:05 PM
ssshhhhhhhh..... Xenu might hear you......

I never cared for her much, but she gets a gold star in my book for leaving those weirdos.

freerider484 2003-04-20 07:50:01 PM
does anyone have a good succinct definition of scientology? i only hear that its a ridiculous cult, but i dont know exactly what they believe.

Diadem 2003-04-20 07:50:27 PM
I thought they kill you if you try to leave.

CerebralParsley 2003-04-20 07:51:40 PM
They don't kill you for leaving...they just make you read all of L. Ron Hubbard's bad fiction.

Then they know all about Hell on earth.

increment 2003-04-20 07:51:41 PM
Scientology-

Aliens transplanted humans to Earth. We are the decendants of clams.

Magic 2003-04-20 07:53:05 PM
Freerider484, all I've heard about what they believe, although I'm sure this is wrong, partially or wholly, is that they believe that God is an alien at the center of the earth or something

Magic 2003-04-20 07:55:30 PM
Aliens transplanted humans to earth...

Sounds a lot like Mission to Mars' storyline....

Although, even if it were true, which it might very well be, why develop a religion out of it?

The aliens aren't exactly going to have control over your soul or whatever after you die, so why must you worship, praise, and respect them?

ReverendOtisElevator 2003-04-20 07:55:40 PM
To be unable to dissect a religious text because it is COPYRIGHTED is enough for me.

Enjoy your death trap, ladies!

"Actually, when I knew Nicole, she seemed to think there was nothing better than Scientology,"

That's scary!

Nice, GoneFishing. I was just about to post that link. Operation Clambake does a good job of explaining and exposing the wackiness.

Sidi 2003-04-20 07:59:04 PM
Hey, if I was rich and wanted to show off I could join that cult. Nothing says conspicuous consumption like a religion with a six figure buy-in.

pmegan 2003-04-20 07:59:51 PM
Actually I don't think she was ever a scientologist. Word on the street was that she divorced him because she didn't want her kids to be raised scientologist. She is, and has always been, a practicing Catholic.

chz668 [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 08:00:06 PM
Ishkur - Kudos for the Bowfinger reference!

Magic 2003-04-20 08:00:24 PM
Thanks, Gonefishing, now I have a few hours of good readin' while I wait for FilePlanet's damned line to dissappear

TennesseeBuck 2003-04-20 08:01:24 PM
OMFG! Next thing you know she'll be voting Republican!

Magic 2003-04-20 08:02:33 PM
TennesseeBuck, like that's a bad thing?

Glasgowsfinest [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 08:02:53 PM
Har. Maggie should join, I just listened to her on the radio... "How many times have drunk people sung Rod Stewart to you?"
"Oh, If I could count 'em, I'd be a millionaire..."
Eh?
Oh I'll let her and her puppies be. Welcome to the Cult.
BTW if maggies selling one, I'll have the one with the BIG BROWN NOSE.

/W00t!

tangent1138 2003-04-20 08:03:01 PM

"Actually, when I knew Nicole, she seemed to think there was nothing better than Scientology,"
That must have been until she divorced TC and discovered how good sex could actually be. ;)

I live 10 minutes from Clearwater, the epicenter of those freaks. I actually respect the religion in the sense that's it's even more unabashedly about money than the Catholic church. They say flat out that you won't acheive enlightenment and find out about the aliens until you give a certain abount of money.

Outlaw2097 2003-04-20 08:05:47 PM
but are the australians still jews?

aussie aussie aussie...oy oy oy...

Yay!

Kooazndood 2003-04-20 08:07:03 PM
Nicole is pretty...
how did tom cruise get so lucky...

I should be so lucky, if not nicole, maybe katie holmes or christina aguilera.

Glasgowsfinest [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 08:07:19 PM
So the poor dont get Aliens OR Enlightenment??!

I thought it was the Meek that got the jackpot!

THEYRE LYING TO US!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
/Apologies mr hicks.

Sidi 2003-04-20 08:07:21 PM
TheOtherGuyFromWham I guess that's true. With tithing, you're told to pay 15% of your income every year with no gurantee of anything. With Scientology you're told flat out what your money buys you, spiritually.

Sidi 2003-04-20 08:08:05 PM
Glasgowsfinest actually, the poor have to KEEP their aliens. It's only if you have money that they'll remove them from your body for you.

bluenovaman 2003-04-20 08:08:28 PM
I really like the lack of a segway right into the Tommy Lee killing the kid story.

Glasgowsfinest [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 08:09:20 PM
My entire family are Catholics, and none of 'em give a penny. Its a Scots thing, we're as tight as an Irishman with a free bar.

canberraknight72 2003-04-20 08:09:31 PM
So when is it ok to take off our black jumpsuits and addidas sneakers?? I'm sick of waiting for this comet...oops, wrong thread.

Take me to Your Kidman!!!

After years of resisting, I recently picked up my old copy of Dianetics and gave it several sessions of bathroom reading.

I came away thinking, "if that's all it takes to start a religion, I should get to work."

nothanks 2003-04-20 08:13:43 PM
I've always heard that L Ron Hubbard started the 'religion' as a bet from a fellow scientist. Anyone know the truth?

Sidi 2003-04-20 08:14:04 PM
It actually might make a decent sci-fi story though. Overpopulated universe, evil emporer Xenu rounds up a bunch of people and executes them with a hydrogen bomb, their souls then inhabit the bodies of the people who then evolve on the planet and screw their brains up unless they're removed.

Comfortably_Numb 2003-04-20 08:14:07 PM
To put it in a nutshell. Scientology is a religion based on a mythos invented by famed Science-Fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard. Any more detail than that may be cause for copyright infringement. But I leave that to the discretion, and desecration, of fellow Farkers.

InternetSecurityGuard 2003-04-20 08:14:08 PM
She has never called me. Not even once. She must be stuck up.

Glasgowsfinest [TotalFark] 2003-04-20 08:15:05 PM
Na, Nothanks, he just knew a money printer when he saw one. Might have started out that way though.
