It would have been funnier if you said you meant to say "viscous".

Does this mean that Glenn Beck will stop trying to sue people for satirizing him?

And will Palin stop whining when people satirize her?

I honestly am in favor of Sarah Palin supporters being rounded up and shipped someplace where sane and intelligent people can feed them and care for them.

It's for everyone's best interest.

Witchydiva [TotalFark] 2010-02-10 03:38:31 AM
My respect for him keeps going up and up. :)

Mosrael 2010-02-10 03:49:18 AM
The only thing retarded out of this whole debacle is the mainstream media calling retard the "R word".

/Oh, and Palin of course.

I hadn't watched The Colbert Report in weeks, but decided to tune in last night. I was glad, because I laughed my freaking head off.

He's brilliant.

FTFA: When Limbaugh, on his radio show, repeatedly used the term 'retards' in reference to liberals, Palin defended him, claiming since it was a joke, he didn't really mean it.

Well, she does have a point. Rush's show is a joke.

that was good, for some reason i hope it catches on...
maybe the social definition will change to someone who should actually be competent, isn't...

I wish everyone would just stop paying her any attention. If you stop believing in her, she'll go away. Like a unicorn.

Slang has a way of becoming the norm.

Esn 2010-02-10 03:58:54 AM
This whole deal with PC words is silly - take one "bad word" out of common usage, and it's soon replaced with another one. 10 years from now, there'll be a campaign against the use of the word "special"... rinse, repeat.

soseussme [TotalFark] 2010-02-10 04:00:23 AM
I'm pretty much an Obama supporter. I admit he's stumbled, more than once -- though not as bad as Limbaugh might have us believe. Still, he's somewhat politically vulnerable as the elections near. You'd think he'd need to be a very clever chess master with his strategy. But Palin and the other opposition seem to be playing checkers. Badly, as well.

The Republicans need to get some of their brighter and more articulate members in the spotlight -- George Will, for example. He's a bright, articulate, and respectable man of principle. There are other conservatives I respect as well.

But Palin? If you lay down with dogs, you get fleas, and that biatch has fleas. The Democrats are vulnerable, but the Republicans need better than her. She's as sharp as a paper sack full of chocolate pudding.

Lionel Mandrake [TotalFark] 2010-02-10 04:01:13 AM
Totally. Awesome.

I also like the one Lewis Black did on TDS. Especially when, after showing Palin's weird "Oh, it's OK - it's satire," Black says "Well I guess that excuses David Letterman."

But, for Republi-baggers there are rules for that apply to The Almighty Fat One, and rules for everyone else.

Naw, the retards are the ones who think lines from SNL are actual quotes from Palin.

DOW 2010-02-10 04:03:39 AM
From the comments:

"He means well, but sometimes his points come out like he is making fun of the good conservatives he supports. Maybe he is trying to be funny and he just doesn't know how. Hopefully, Sarah will go on his show and explain things to him."

Can't tell if troll...

Palin loves a good joke -- just ask Letterman.

What are the odds she'll say it's satire and therefore okay because she believes his conservative shtick?

Hoisted on her own retard.

NewportBarGuy: viscous

Darn it! I wanted to post the viscous pic of Mr. Man on Dog.

I'll just leave this here instead: Link (new window, NSFWish)

On a serious note, this calling people retards, from both sides, satire or not, should stop. It's getting kind of old and silly. Grade school was a long time ago, Ron and Rush.

You have an excellent point. I don't like Obama, and I think he has misplaced priorities, but the guy just simply isn't that bad.

The Republicans have nothing on him. All they do is whine and cry about his birth certificate (why haven't they pressed federal charges against Hawaii?), that he is a secret Muslim (so what? 1st Amendment anyone?), he is an intellectual ivy league elitist (yeah, so what? I WANT someone smarter than I am in the White House). They don't have any substantive alternatives to Obama's ideas. Basically, he is captaining the ship solo.

Democrats want to tax and spend, and expand government into social welfare. Republicans want to tax and spend, and expand government into personal and family life. That is indisputable fact.

The American people are too stupid to see the truth. All they do is get their opinions given to them by cable news pundits, few of whom get out there and read the primary source documents to see what is actually going on. Americans are just too lazy to do the footwork necessary to find out who is full of shiat and who isn't (hint: most of them are).

People like Colbert and Stewart are important because they can expose people for the frauds they are. Right now, they are ripping the Republicans and their lackeys up because right now, the Republican Party has no platform but to destroy Obama. Just like Iraq, they want him out, but have no other plan.

The Tea Party is a failure...I am very interested in their ideas...fewer taxes, less spending, smaller government. However, they are just a front for the GOP as a way to reel in stupid libertarians.

The American people are ignorant cowards who are afraid of terrorists, and will elect Republicans in 2010, and will likely elect the Republican president in 2012.

/I hope I am wrong about all of this.

I couldn't have said it better myself. The Republican party has smart, eloquent people who are just being pushed to the back because the pretty moron wants to speak.

We're killing our own party with this shiat.

I think retardation should be judged on a sliding scale with her and Limbaugh as the low end of the spectrum.

Retard

Occasionally one or two manage to escape north from the south side of the Mason-Dixon line, and when they make it that far, they deserve to run free.

/you were talking about Colbert, right?
