Yea the guns are easily spotted with METAL detectors. Any bomb making material should be easily detect by sniffers or dogs.

Sure they could be designed so storage/printing would be impossible, but I'll bet they never will be, because TSA must need the ability to make prints so that if anything suspicious is seen, the manual searchers could see what they're looking for. They'd probably also want prints for prosecution purposes, or to justify their reason for doing a manual search. If I were designing these things, I'd make the operator sign in, and I'd log that ID any time a print was made. I'd also encode the operator's name on any print, and I'd insist on procedures to account for the whereabouts of any print. That would go a long way toward curbing abuses.

Personally, I don't care about the body scanners. Even if they could see me completely naked in full color I wouldn't care. Just let me board my farking flight without asking me to take off my shoes and removing everything from my pockets.
