Go jogging in a burlap shirt.

Quick unrelated question:

Why is it that no one here posts hardcore porn on FARK all that often? It just seems that the softcore stuff gets boring pretty fast.

You may resume your nipple chafing comments now.

Not that I would ever read the crap, but are chafed nipples mentioned in the Harry Potter series?

Raydr 2003-04-06 07:43:45 PM

DruidTX 2003-04-06 07:43:57 PM
Does that include "Harry Potter" author JK Rowling ???

awcs 2003-04-06 07:45:02 PM
The idiot didn't read the article. The article was being facetious.

Purple_Paramecium 2003-04-06 07:45:04 PM
I don't remember any nipple-chafing in HP series.

/shudder

Yes, I shamelessly stole it, but it was a little better then "Boobies" and being the second post, aint it?

Anti_Freak_Machine [TotalFark] 2003-04-06 07:46:11 PM
My nipples are bleeding now. Then again, I was breast feeding the birds again.

Outlaw_Rudy [TotalFark] 2003-04-06 07:46:11 PM
wow, CerebralParsley, druidTX, and Purple_Paramecium beat me to it. :/

Folded_Soup [TotalFark] 2003-04-06 07:46:39 PM
If the Chafed Nipples market isn't already saturated, I'd be more than happy to help out any potential female writers. I like to think I could provide a reason for them to write...

Swami 2003-04-06 07:46:53 PM
Umm... the hell? I hope that guy is kidding, because I don't ever remember reading anything about chafed nipples. Ever.

Perhaps the next Harry Potter book will be called, "Harry Potter and the Curse of The Chafed Nipples"

Whatever... fna

Sinatra 2003-04-06 07:47:32 PM
I call bullshiat. Is there mention of chaffed nipples in this angry biatch's book?:

mcgrue 2003-04-06 07:47:43 PM
Harry's nipples bleed all the time! It's from track and field practice in those freakin' robes.

CerebralParsley 2003-04-06 07:47:52 PM
Awcs:

So was the Harry Potter response...

spongyfungy 2003-04-06 07:47:59 PM

tarvuz 2003-04-06 07:48:11 PM
Nipples make or break the breast.

M.C.PeePants 2003-04-06 07:48:25 PM
Anti_Freak_Machine

Breast feed the hermit crabs. Then complain.

Outlaw_Rudy [TotalFark] 2003-04-06 07:49:00 PM
Though this would explain why children are so strange after reading pop-up books.

/shudder

Backgroundnoise 2003-04-06 07:49:27 PM
looks like hermione is going to be having some...problems....in the next book

Now, if only someone could build a device to convert the heat caused by chafing (nipple, or thigh) into usable electrical energy, then america could become energy self-sufficient, all without harming the environment![1]

[1] Environment does not include the meanings 'visual' or 'aesthetic' environment.

Alphax 2003-04-06 07:53:29 PM
All female authors? How about those DragonLance books? Though I guess most of those are too old now, I'm sure there were no infants of any kind in there, not even conceptions. Lots of tormented emotion, though.

Garanimal 2003-04-06 07:54:07 PM
Fiction, Non-fiction, Biography, Text book?

EVERY book?

or fiction?

(I'm too lazyto read link first...easier to pick on headline writers that way...)

Hmm...Breast feeding hermit crabs.
Pain so close to pleasure I cant tell where one ends and the other begins.

MsPentyuth 2003-04-06 07:54:53 PM
Spongyfungy, forcing that image into my brain was uncalled for. What did I ever do to you?

Carnage 2003-04-06 07:56:27 PM
I'D CHAFE IT!

Donald_McRonald 2003-04-06 07:56:46 PM
It appears that modern career women have children so that they can get to 35 and bleat about the experience. Mastitis and alleged female orgasm are the new literary buzzwords.

Female orgasms aren't alleged when they're with me, baby.

Garanimal 2003-04-06 07:59:58 PM
OK after reading the article I now know the article writer is to blame for such wild claims...

Now, on to more pressing matters,...

Does anybody want to recommend a good lotion or powder for Helmetitis, you know, painfull rash, lesions, cracking, blistering, pustules, of the...urm...helmet?

M.C.PeePants 2003-04-06 08:02:58 PM
Garanimal:

Penicillin

stoke 2003-04-06 08:04:55 PM
Read the farkin article people. It's called sarcasm.

InternetSecurityGuard 2003-04-06 08:04:57 PM
Chafed Nipples. Didn;t he have a show on Comedy Central?

EvilHamster 2003-04-06 08:05:35 PM
i dont think the headline is literal

CerebralParsley 2003-04-06 08:07:08 PM
Geez guys...lighten up - most of these postings are ALSO sarcasm.

bulb007 2003-04-06 08:08:23 PM
Chafed nipples, ripped nipples (whose ring got caught in the corner).....come on! give us some nipples to kill kittens with!!

CerebralParsley 2003-04-06 08:09:02 PM
Tarvuz for President.

See...that's sarcasm at work.

technicolor-misfit 2003-04-06 08:15:02 PM
For those who haven't read the article...

The Far headline referred to a bit of hyperbole on the part of the article's author...

The article merely pointed a bit of scorn at the career women-mom's that have a tendency towards self-pity/self-aggrandizement. The "oh woe is me, look how tough my life is... but look how remarkably well I handle it" crowd. More specifically, the author was poking a stick at the proliferation of books written and published by and/or about the career women/moms.

technicolor-misfit 2003-04-06 08:17:26 PM
And of course that should be "Fark headline," not "Far headline..."

KazamaSmokers 2003-04-06 08:18:49 PM
This is all Oprah's fault.

Want a REAL book?

control 2003-04-06 08:23:28 PM
In her cookbook, she butters her nipples for a crusty brown finish. "It's a good thing," she says.

JonathanTaylorThomas 2003-04-06 08:27:15 PM
it must be a serious issue

I_am_Jills_Nipples 2003-04-06 08:31:19 PM
ouch!! get some lotion on me asap!!

cobaltnine 2003-04-06 08:32:48 PM
All books, not counting:
Fantasy novels (incl. of the Harry Potter series, NOT inclusive of Harry Potter fanfic, sadly)
Cookbooks
Political-Economic
Sci-Fi
Horror
...
and even the cheap 'Old West' romance novel I got for free at work once.

In fact, I'd presume only crappy books about female attorneys 'balancing sex, a career, and a family' mention nipple chafing. And who the hell reads those?

Saria 2003-04-06 08:35:22 PM
It'd help if the writer of this piece knew about the OTHER sections of the bookstore...

DB-Cooper.com 2003-04-06 08:37:16 PM
Nursing mothers used to use lanolin to keep their--uh--parts from hurting.

I've nursed two kids, but I'm not going to write about it.
oops! I guess I just did.
