Sounds like a cool concept.

I wonder what kind of Spider-man film Disney/Marvel Studios would come up with if Sony didn't hold the film rights?

I'll admit it, I had a heart attack when I read the first part of this headline.

I saw the Sad tag and the words "Shaun of the Dead" director Edgar Wright and I found myself saying "NOOOOOO! Not Edgar Wright!"

...

Subby, don't DO that! You scared the hell outta me!

:-/

An Edgar Wright Ant-Man movie with Hank Pym, Scott Lang and Eric O'Grady can only be surpassed by an Edgar Wright Blue Beetle movie featuring Dan Garrett, Ted Kord and Jaime Reyes.

Ant-Man is well suited to Edgar Wright's style of comedy. His whole deal is that he desperately wants to be a superhero but keeps farking it up by basically having the assorted character flaws of a mad-scientist style supervillain.

So he'll try to stop a bank robbery, but accidentally unleashes killer robots on the city or something.

You have both captured my heart and a place on my favorite users list. Even with Hank Pym's recent awesome reinvention in the pages of Mighty Avengers, it will always be hard for him to overcome the way he was treated for the 40 years beforehand.

/bring back Irredeemable Ant-Man too.

I'm still disappointed that the third film in Wright's trilogy isn't a WW1 period piece.

I think I might cry. Can Booster be in the movie too? And Paco? My roommate would have to drug me before I was allowed in the theater.

Paco must be in it. Him and his stick.
/The stick he used to fight the aliens.

Wait, is this movie going to be about Hank Pym? Forget that, give me the real Ant-Man . . the Irredeemable Ant-Man! The guy who answers the question "What can an Ant-Sized super hero do?" with this:

And more of same:

"You'd think this would get old after a while but you know . . it really doesn't!"

A guy who knows how to answer the call to action:

Give us Ant-Man!

That was one of the funnier moments of Secret Invasion.

"I'm ANT-MAN. I can shrink myself down to the size of an ant, and I still have my human strength."

"Strength of a human? Huh."
