People have friends on Facebook? Am I doing it wrong?

Seems to make sense to me. Is there not a way to keep people from seeing who you're friends are?

It's dumb that an issue was made of this. The rules of judicial-attorney conduct are already sufficient without making special rules up for facebook and other internet fads.

The law is slow cultural and technological change. "Friend" is a now the equivalent of "acquaintance" 5 years ago.

Only acquaintances who would be too difficult or too expensive to take advantage of.

But the committee's majority concluded that the possibility of the appearance of impropriety required that they recommend against friending, said Judge T. Michael Jones of the First Judicial Circuit Court, a committee member

I like how lawyers and judges are more concerned about ethical behavior than climate researchers.

It's not a ruling. It's a recommendation. And this deserves the STUPID tag, not the FLORIDA one.
