When Brian Hoyer came in with 4 minutes left in the fourth, everyone in the bar spontaneously applauded. What a game.

JerseyTim [TotalFark] 2009-12-01 12:35:11 AM
Why would it be considered so hard to believe that Brees would throw five TDs in tonight's game? He's already thrown for six in a game this season. That tiny dude is a monster quarterback!

And, after winning, Saints fans realized they lived in New Orleans. Much crying and gnashing of teeth was heard.

Sh*t, I live in Buffalo. I know it sucks. But if we had an 11-0 team, there would be no crying or gnashing of teeth.

Heh, just think...LA Vikings!

Vegas cleaned up with this game.

Everyone and their dog were on either the pats and the over.

Carney really screwed a lot of people with that miss.

I wouldn't bet against NO this year. At least until the Conference playoffs when my Pack hands them their first loss.

/Sure I like fiction, why do you ask?

Not gonna happen. They're winning too many games, atm. That reminds me, how many times did the Pack beat the Vikings and BRETT FAVRE this year?

We've got a ways to go, but if they keep playing like this, they'll get it. It'd cost too much to let them go.

The Saints didn't just outplay them, they beat the Patriots down like they were a bunch of biatchtards. They dominated every aspect of the game.

It was hilarious to see the expressions of Belichick and Brady standing on the sideline as they were getting thumped, and they had no answer for it.

I heard the Vikes got a trophy for beating the Pack twice this year. It will look really nice next to all the Lombardi trophies in their trophy case.

Sure there would, knowing that even if they went undefeated into the Superbowl, they would lose, as they have always done.

I, for one, am now rooting for the Colts and Saints to both go undefeated into the Superbowl, just so those 72 Dolphins don't even have any reason to buy Champagne, except to get drunk.

I'm a Bears fan. The only reasons I pay attention to football are to see Johnny Knox return kicks and waste his talent in the Bears inept offensive system, to see who will replace Ron Turner and when, and to root against the Patriots and Cowboys.

I was going to look at the Saints remaining games and make a snarky comment about them playing in the snow, and the only outdoor game that might have unfriendly conditions is at Washington next week (trap game?). They're going to run the table and get the #1 seed. The NFC title game between the Viqueens and Saints is going to be epic. Naturally I don't want any division rival to do well, but Brent making it to the Super Bowl is akin to him taking a dump in the collective mouth of Packer nation, so I'm torn.

God, I'm really beginning to hate that term. "Trap game." The Saints have played what seems like 9 consecutive "trap games" by this point, and fark, I KNOW I've burned bridges with Colts fans, but they can agree with me on this one, because every game THEY play is a "trap game" too. Farking shiat.

/that wasn't an attack on you, by the way, you were just the first person to say trap game, sorry

The way Brees was playing last night there was no defense on this planet that was going to stop him. Hopefully the Pats can get the ship righted and we'll see the Saints again at the end of the season.

ShadezofDis 2009-12-01 08:03:13 AM
Brees was the better QB and the Saints D was the better D. Good on the Saints. It's a shame that Brady missed a few though, if he'd hit a couple of those misses it could have been a pretty good game.

deeoh1 2009-12-01 08:16:43 AM
Given the hype for that game and the fact that it was on MNF, it's hard to imagine a better QB performance than Brees last night. 18/23, 371 yds, 5 tds, perfect 158.3 rating, 16.1 yards per attempt (wow!). TDs to 5 different receivers.
