I believe the only problem I have with this article is that now ESPN is using TMZ reports as valid sources.

Seems like an odd pecking order.

The state police think they can show probable cause of a crime during the events that unfolded Friday

I think Tiger can hire a lot more attorneys than these cops have ever seen, so good luck with that.

Did his Escalade ever actually leave his property, and, was the hydrant he hit owned of the municipality or was it owned by the developer?

I never got a GED in law, but if he never left his property and never damaged public-owned property can't he tell them to go screw?

I'm sorry, but the cops have no right to get any more information. Sure, they want it, but if Tiger and his wife don't want to make a statement or file charges or anything that's their business not the cops.

Why do they want to spend so much time on such a non-issue that they will try to get a warrant to pull hospital records?

Isn't there a killer or rapist on the loose?

It depends on the state. I have no idea about Florida laws.

the articles i read was that florida's law could require someone to take the fall in a domestic violence situation, even if they both say they're fine

Lessee... Tiger is driving in shorts and a s-shirt without shoes, "back up" yet someone rams his car front-first into a tree, and his back window is busted by a golf club wielded by his wife.

They were all over the Michael Jackson story too. I was overseas when Jackson died -- Sky News and CNN International were quoting TMZ left and right. And they got it right.

With FL, I worry more about hot pedophilic teachers but yes, I see your point.

And yes, I'm not sure why they are concerned about domestic violence unless they have a report of some other activities earlier that night.

poisonedpawn78 2009-11-30 02:12:44 PM
This is my take based on the released evidence

Speculation:

Enquirer I think it was ran a story about Woods having an affair last week in Australia. Woods goes home and argues with his wife all week/weekend about the validity of the story(true or false).

It breaks down into an arguement at 2am and woods tries to leave to give her time to cool off before something violent happens. She chases him out of the house with a golf club and takes a swing at the back of the truck thinking she would just put a dent in it.

She misses and breaks the window scaring/shocking woods (it probably sounded like a gunshot breaking the glass) as he was not expecting this and caused him to swirve and hit the tree.

He doesnt want her or himself to go to jail over what happened so before anyone gets out there they make a quick story about the broken window to "get him out" (if the airbags didnt go off surely the doors would still work, so why break the back window?).

He doesnt want to tell the authorities anything that way he cannot purger himself to make it worse.

So, they're pissed he's stonewalling them on an issue he's not legally bound to discuss with them so they're gonna violate his HIPAA rights to see if they can get some probable cause to investigate his wife for scratching his face? What a farking waste of time - the seriousness of spousal abuse aside, I think Tiger can take care of himself. Methinks there's probably a few hundred poor folk in Florida who would love to get some attention on THEIR ignored spousal abuse cases. What we have here folks, is grandstanding by the police. Believe me, If Elin represents any danger whatsoever to Tiger the secret police from Nike are already all over that shiat way better than the locals could be.

Not this one. It's owned by the Isleworth HOA. The architecture committee decorated the shrubs near it, had it engraved, and coated in gold leaf. The landscape contractor polishes it twice weekly. It's insured for $40,000.

jst3p: Not in the case of domestic violence.

Sure. And 99% of the time I agree and think it's a great rule. Most of the time the battered party is trapped by money or circumstance. In this situation though, either party can hop in a brand new custom escalade and take a servant or two with them on their way to check into the finest 5 star hotel in Florida... which is probably like a mile away. The cops should be working on important things. Whomever was harmed is filthy rich and inside their own family. Now if one of them hurts someone else, by all means, call in the swat truck and force them to have their day in court but in this case I'd just say the local cops want some press time.

So are OK with a system where the wealthy get a pass on the rules the rest of us have to live under?

It's not perjury unless he is under oath. However, most states have laws that make it illegal to lie to police during an investigation. The worst that can happen to him is that he gets popped for lying to the cops and the worst that can happen to his wife is that she gets popped for domestic violence.

On a side note I notice a lot of people acting like this isn't a big deal and I wonder how much of this has to do with the fact that this involves a woman abusing a man and not vice versa. I think that if there was any evidence that tiger laid a finger on his wife there would be public outcry.

Source or bullshiat.

There hasn't even been a complaint here.

In most states, Florida being one of them, there does not need to be a complaint. By all means keep typing and showing that you have no idea what you are talking about.
