Because South Africa has such an impressive history of justice.

English soccer hooligans are in for a rude farking awakening if they try their usual shenanigans in JBurg.

Hooligans, while seemingly Neanderthal, still have the good sense to generally be white.

I'd heard about how bad those damned things were during the Confederations Cup but I didn't fully realize it until I watched the Japan vs. South Africa friendly. I seriously wonder if ratings are going to drop compared to '06 because of people fed up with the buzzing hornets at each stadium.

Chile is about to be kicked out because a team demoted to the second league is taking the Chilean Federation to court, so Ireland sees its chance to get in.

That would suck, this would be the first time since 1962 or something, that Chile was in the World Cup.

Look, we all know the English are known to be rude and obnoxious when it comes to the World Cup. As an England fan, I myself have been guilty of singing "2 world wars and 1 world cup" and "10 German bombers" in the middle of NYC during tournaments...but to single them out is absurd. You're going to see ass-hattery from all fans.

Anyways, I agree, football asshattery is worldwide. I've heard the Polish have stepped up to the plate and are making English hooligans look like nancies now.

I'd add that it looks like (according to the NYT) the problem in Chile has bee resolved so barring any further shenanigans they should be fine.

English fans don't have a bad reputation because of funny chants. They have a bad reputation because a small yet extremely loud number of them drink impressive amounts of lager and proceed to commit assault and cause property damage. Sing on.

But yeah, batter the idiots with the buzz-horns.

NP, I only remembered because I remember scribbling Chile - Austria 1-1 in a notebook bout ten years ago ... funny how those things stay with you.

Anyways, on to the horns. I support CF America in the Mexican league, have supported them since I can remember and they play all their home games at Azteca Stadium. I grew up with the loud buzzing and it's almost strange watching without hearing those things.
Bringing that tradition to American football would be interesting to see.

Though I did have a chance to see Real Madrid and Villarreal play each other earlier this year, and there was no such buzzing at Bernabeu, just loud chants.

/cool story bro, I know

LOL! This is going to be awesome.

The South African Riot Police (read: combat soldiers) are extremely badass, they typically shoot first, and then don't bother to ask questions.

After decades of quelling violence in the townships, this will seem like a walk in the park to these battle hardened "cops".

I, for one, will be glad not to be there next year... as much as I want go.

If our fans get any rough treatment in SA we should just invade that shiathole and take control of it again.

And the RAF from England shot one down...
