I actually like all of them. However, Leno is getting better. He is doing more entertainment/variety stuff, and that is a good thing. Some of it is pretty funny.

There's this guy-Hey, Kev, did ya hear about this guy on NBC? He's got his own primetime show that's supposed to be a comedy. Anyways, his ratings are so bad (How bad, Jay) He's getting beat in the ratings by TiVo recordings. His ratings are so bad they're renaming the show THE ECONOMY! How do they differentiate between "live" and "playback"? 95% of the time I pause a show I'm watching live at the first commercial. Take a bathroom break, fix a drink, etc. Then when I come back I ffwd through the commercials. Does this count as "live" viewing?

Next up, the formation of the Television Network Association of America who will lobby Congress to outlaw TiVo and other PVR technology and sue every college kid in the country for fast-forwarding past the commercial breaks.

I usually am the first to say how much he sucks but...

It's funny (in a curious way, not a 'Ha, ha' way) but he is VERY funny 'live'. I saw him perform 4 times before he got 'The Tonight Show'; the first time in front of 20 people.

He was lame on the show, can't interview, cheap-shot jokes, etc but had that built-in TS audience.

At 10 p.m. (EST) slot he has to fight decades of people watching scripted programming and his weaknesses are blantant.

He's a nice guy and deserves better but heck, he is freaking big-time rich and can do whatever he wants.

Except win his time slot...

Leno's show matured? I think if your jokes all sound like they're written for/by eight-year-olds after 16(?) years in production, there's no maturation there.

That's an awfully lucid and workable idea. How come you aren't getting paid big bucks as a programmer for NBC. Of course, you may be an actual NBC exec flying a trial balloon on Fark. If so, can you bring back Journeyman on one of those open slots.

It's pretty creepy how invested leno's, lettermen's and the like egos are tied up into a TV show. These people won't go away. They think that their whole identity as a person is their TV show and without it they'd wilt and die.
