Heh, had a friend who worked at a pub across from Liverpool Street Station called the Locomotive or the Engine or something train-related. When I went to look him up for the first time, it was karaoke night and someone had smashed a beer bottle on some lucky diva's head. Shenanigans ensued.

I know it's not quite the same but in Norwich they have a special SOS bus parked at the end of Prince of Wales Road on Friday/Saturday nights to take care of the drunks falling out of all the clubs there, 52 weeks a year.

To my surprise last night I also saw 'Street Priests' for the first time too - not sure how long that's been going on for.

I have to say the drinking culture in Britain is pretty depressing. Every Monday the pavement on that road is covered with blood splatter from the weekend before.
