That's going to be murder for the girls' tips. The University always takes 50% for overhead.

Ahh, why didn't I apply for a PhD to Leeds? Might have gotten lapdances free, or atleast for a discount.

Worked as a strip club manager/ emcee/ bartender for 10+ years.
97% of all strippers are just like the rest of America.
Clueless, vapid, and ambitious enough to be dangerous.
The other 3% are farking fantastic.

Okay. I had an incredible deja vu moment about that headline. I'm sure it's been repeated at least 2x in the last 7 years.

How to interpret them, or how to make them?

I had a female sociology professor in college who actually did study on adult entertainment. One of her infamous optional class field trips was to a transvestite show. One of my mother's friends was a freelance writer for the local newspaper, a very staid, conservative woman. She got assigned to write an article about the professor's work, and she wound up going to a male strip show as part of that assignment. I asked the professor about it, since I knew the writer. Asking the writer at one of my mom's parties about her tip for one of the dancers was priceless. I didn't know people could go from pale to bright red so quickly.

I'd like to submit my paper studying the effects of natural vs synthetic materials in G-Strings

this will require close up study, and taking many many samples of said subject.

fireclown: not a lapdance per se, but a related phenomenon

That's hot.

/also, I think they are looking for a female for this job.
//Preferably a current or former stripper.

I think of the body as just an outer, just a shell, it's just material, it's not part of who you are, in terms of what moves on . . . Me, it's just my body. You know what I mean?

So if a guy grabs me at work, I rationalize myself out of feeling violated. In terms of just, it's just my body. It's not that it doesn't bother me, when somebody touches me or something, but I could get over something like that, I can mentally overcome something like that, I think . . . I always think about: am I selling my body, am I selling my self-that used to be a big moral issue for me while I was dancing. So I think that's got a little bit to do with disassociating. Well, it's ok to sell, for people to look at my body, because that's not really who I am.
