I enjoy passing this along every year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Cheers to you, your lovely wife and the pooches!

Happy Thanksgiving. I've got to get back to the kitchen now.

The article, it has too much text!!! And no picutres!! FAIL for not tailoring to my demographic!

Nabb1: I've got to get back to the kitchen now.

I've been putting it off. I'm enjoying this calm before the oncoming storm.

Ahh, well. Time to get off my ass, Irish up some coffee, and make this bird my b*tch.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Pray for the Lions.

I'm not reading all that - unless there are some fat jokes and fart humour in it!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Enjoy the food, friends, and family you have on this day, and remember, no matter how bad it is, it can always get worse.

Since when did this become the Official FARK Happy Thanksgiving thread!

MadTheologian 2009-11-26 09:50:32 AM
Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Farkers and to your loved ones. We are demented, silly and full of WHARRGARBL-- and yet, we are still journeying together.

LasersHurt 2009-11-26 09:51:00 AM
I give thanks for those who know that there is still so much work to be done, even in America The Really Neat. Problems like the widest economic divide in any nation should on this day, more than most others, seem particularly poignant and problematic.

Also, Happy Thanksgiving and that!

Absolutely this.^ Especially important at the end of a year that's been pretty rough for many.

That was a decent read. I don't buy into most of it, but it's nice, and they're pleasant sentiments.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and I wish you all that feeling of lethargic satiation that most people think comes from tryptophan, but actually comes from carbs and the volume of food consumed.

FatherDale 2009-11-26 09:52:57 AM
Thanks for that, Subby. A fine read that I'm going to share.

As it was written by Andrew Sullivan, I can safely say (audible) farts are right out.

Andrew Sullivan was a pretty good writer in 1996.

Today he thinks Sarah Palin has hidden her secret extra fetus inside his Thanksgiving turkey, and will be favoring us with nineteen blog posts about his ongoing investigation.

I don't understand why its always The Cowboys and The Lions playing. Like, its Thanksgiving, shouldn't it be The Patriots defeating The Redskins and then taking their stadium? - Joe Mande

For all her crassness and her class, I am thankful that there is still a dream called America and I am in her.

Happy Thanksgiving Fark! Enjoy your day.

Time to start cooking - as soon as we figure out where my daughter left her car last night.

Happy Thanksgiving, gang.

That was published back in 1996, when he was still grateful for being in the United States.

Go back to England, Andrew.

For a real jolt to the Farker mentality, read the Thanksgiving Proclaimations of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Happy Thanksgiving. Let's EAT!!!

Aw, subby... You went and made me homesick. I'll have to go back there someday.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. And for those of you who became unemployed this year - here's a wish that by next year at this time it's all just a bad memory.

I actually get to spend Thanksgiving on a Native American reservation this year. Might be awkward.

He's impressed that a seven year old boy came up to him and said Hi, because in Manchester, he'd have a seven year old boy come up and happy slap him.

I know what was that part about The country that sustained slavery for longer than any other civilised country Um no.
Other than that pretty nice lil piece. Hope we all have a happy and safe thanksgiving and stuff.

His comments on gay rights were funny. You'd think we were publically stoning queers on the Washington Mall today, if you read him today.

Also need to throw in some thanks for the aids cocktail saving your life that Big Pharma provides

I am thankful that someone else is doing the cooking today. I'll be heading over to her house in a couple of hours. My contribution will be a dozen, small tarts that I bought at Target. I have arranged them on a decorative plate that has "Baked By Me, With Love" painted on it.

Happy Thanksgiving, Farkers.

Funny you should say that...

This year of all years, Andrew and his husband, for the first time in a long time, can go back to the old country, and then return to the States without being barred entry because of his HIV status....

I would imagine that this fact is one of the things that Andrew is most thankful for this year.

That and the Wasilla Wonder.

As he says,
Know Hope.
