Wow... "Wife-killing tranny" is an awesome name for a band.

TwistedIvory [TotalFark] 2009-11-26 11:17:30 AM
Well, it IS concise.

Day_Old_Dutchie 2009-11-26 11:25:21 AM
My tranny nearly killed me the other day.

Fortunately, I was able to steer to the shoulder.

Towed to the dealer
Said tranny swapped out, only 5,000 km left to go on powertrain warranty. Cost to Ford ~$2,000. Cost to me (including rental and tow): FREE!!!

Yeah, but wait till you need to get the electrolysis done.....That's when they will get you.

atomic-age [TotalFark] 2009-11-26 11:28:16 AM
The taxpayers had to fund this dude's electrolysis, but health care reform would be socialism.

Also, fark the attorneys who wasted time and money on this case.

My sentiments exactly. I have to pay for hair removal on that murdering freak? But health insurance for me is a bad idea? ARRGGHH!

So I should NOT want to fark her anymore?? Is that what you're saying? I mean, she started hormone treatments before puberty. It counts as a woman at this point

Pretty sure when you commit murder, you loose some rights.
Making a dude stay a dude when he wants to be a she...

I mean come on, they are fixing him up with dates all year long!

Besides...
The DOC has said it is willing to give Kosilek razors and depilatories.

He could make use...

I was basically posting it as a bit of headline related eye bleach after seeing the article pic.

How is electrolysis for a tranny any more "medically necessary" than other women who have massive, ongoing cosmetic issues?

cookereh 2009-11-26 11:43:16 AM
They should give him all the razors he wants.

Along with as much Joni Mitchell music as he can handle, while in a warm, warm bath.

Problem will take care of itself.

I would say the best reason to not want to fark her is because she's 12, but I'm just weird like that.

ok wait one darn moment...

This guy wants OUR tax dollars so that he can not only get hair removal but a sex change operation??? Hold on there sparky. Tell ya what... you know that minimal wage you get paid while you're in prison? I won't deny you the right to pay for your own surgery - but keep your paws off my tax dollars - and as a bonus - we'll let you pay for your own hair removal, too.

Yes, she is cute. Get over it. Sex reassignment is the most successful approach for gender identity disorder. Which is, of course, not the same as transsexualism.

Another thing you can be thankful for in the mighty USA.

Tax payers shelling out $500 bucks a pop so a murdering tranny doesn't have to shave!

Perfect!

Why the hell should taxpayers pay for hair removal for a guy? I dont really care what he calls himself.

chrisegill 2009-11-26 11:52:39 AM
They allowed treatment for a murder. Yet I know people in pain who have to fight to get the government insurance (military tricare) to remove source of pain (scar tissues). I also known people who have tons of skin flab that look terrible (from massive weight loss)and told its removal is only cosmetic. So they have to cough up the removal themselves. Yet they paid 5 treatments for a murder?
Government health care at its best and only to improve.

This is kind of like the Aristocrats joke. Any convoluted story that has anything remotely to do with anything medical or health related and somebody brings in the punchline about government health care.

That really is a stretch BTW, the prison officials and everyone else are in favor of denying electrolysis for this guy (gal?). There's probably some legal issue the tranny and his/her lawyer is taking advantage of.

The very back bay and first blush American notions of dignity and propriety have faded under the weight of sensationalism.

We do this for money.

We use this money to try and pull ourselves out of the sh*thole that we create by dismissing these ostensibly arcane notions in the pursuit of a buck.

It's called a self-defeating construct, much like sugar in a tube of active yeast.

upright_apes_r_us 2009-11-26 12:49:56 PM
Long term convicts like to play twisted games to entertain themselves. It is a way to kill time and/or to play a retaliation angle for what they see as wrong against themselves by society. Some cons think it's someone else's fault that they made a personal choice to commit a crime and have to serve time.

simpsonfan 2009-11-26 02:08:34 PM
Any elective procedure should be paid for by the freak, not the taxpayer. If he can't afford it, too bad.

I mean we've turned into a nation of nosy, low rent dipwads who like to sniff other people's dirty laundry and it hasn't actually made things all that interesting.

Rule number one of making records - if everything is loud, nothing is loud.

Rule number one of creating a society - if everything is sensational, nothing is sensational.

unusual punishment means a punishment that differs from what has been established to mean "normal" punishment. This means that if electralysis is normally denied, this is not an issue.

Not unprecedented. This is the state that paid for hair transplants for a jailed mob boss.

To be fair, you wouldn't call him a "trap" as he's not likely to fool anyone.

Peekoo 2009-11-26 03:50:51 PM
This isn't some big civil rights issue. I'm sure they don't pay for these treatments so the ladies in jail don't have to shave their legs anymore. Or their beards.

Myria 2009-11-26 04:08:37 PM
I'm trans. I know how horrible gender dysphoria feels, and don't want anyone to feel this way, murderer or otherwise.

But I also don't like the idea of paying for felons' expensive operations that aren't medically necessary, except in some sense.

I'm torn here, and can't really make a useful opinion either way.

Well, you could look at it this way. Everybody hurts (LOL, REM) over something. I sincerely doubt that this particular prisoner's emotional anguish is any greater than that of the average prisoner. A large percentage of female prisoners have suffered physical and / or sexual abuse at the hands of friends, relatives, and lovers. This person needs to shave her hairy bits or wax or take duct tape to them. This hirsute convicted murderer's pain is greater or more valid than that of any other person--be they prisoner or taxpayer.

We all tend to empathize with those who are like us, but truly, hair removal is a personal problem, one that does not rise to the importance of taxpayer concern.

bunner [TotalFark] 2009-11-26 05:18:54 PM
This person's story, oddly, after some review tugs at neither my heartstrings or purse strings.

I think it's the " I am an aesthetically inconvenienced murderer" part.
