Submitter likes Take That

When did I become a washed-up, has been, British Pop star?

AgentOrangeDrink 2009-11-26 06:09:48 AM
Maybe that's just code. In my university dorm we would always say we were going "coyote hunting" when we went to get high. Space coyotes, to be specific.

abigsmurf 2009-11-26 06:15:03 AM
so basically their source for this is a publicity hungry holiday park who heard this from someone who said he, like, totally knew Robbie Williams...

Quality reporting there!

Subby prefers Boyzone. Obviously.

Washed up? Has-been? Hardly.

He needs a secluded place to pull off his skin and dance.

yarzan 2009-11-26 08:21:28 AM
Hope he doesn't give it up or let the aliens down.
\know It's not the same popstar..
\\both british, etc.

You're a nobody fark news story submitter, angry someone became successful enough to pursue eccentric hobbies and not have to work anymore. Do you: C) Make unfunny, snarky headlines about them, to feel better about yourself.

GungFu: Washed up? Has-been? Hardly.

Robbie Williams is... unless he can get a better partner for songwriting. You can trace his career going to shiat right back to when he stopped writing with Guy Chambers.

I'm sure EMI are kicking their own asses all the way to bankruptcy for giving that guy millions in advance cash.

Personally I couldn't even understand it at the time, considering that music sales had been tanking for several years.

Very weak artist with, obviously, a very weak mind.

/pray the aliens don't think you're an idiot, Robbie, when they finally show up

What a perfect place for a Rick-Roll.

This, oh god THIS

but seriously, has-been? The demand for the tickets for the Roundhouse gig (his first gig for 3 years) would have filled the O2 twice.

/subby's got the green-eyes

Is it bad that I assumed it was Robbie Williams before I clicked to see the link?

The global megastar arrived in Sydney this week with his actress girlfriend Ayda Field.

If you say so!

Merky 2009-11-26 03:45:14 PM
Like most pop/rock celebrities he was much cooler and sane when he was on drugs.

ParadisePornoTheater 2009-11-26 04:37:19 PM
RB's new album's gotten good reviews. I might pick up a copy, too.

Incidentally, if you want to see exactly how entertaining he can be, seek out Robbie Live at the Albert Hall, where he bangs out 50's classics from Sinatra and his lot, as well as my all time fave, 'I will talk and Hollywood will listen'.

/no sarcasm whatsoever
//man-crush

THIS. He did a great rendition of "My Way". The guy has moxie (and that is not a compliment I throw around lightly).

/and he looks great in a tux, too.

Alright, that's it. Just because he couldn't make it as a super ginormous pop star in the U.S. like he did everywhere else in the world doesn't mean he has up and lose his mind. He just needs to get back with his original songwriting partner and everything will sort itself out.

/an American who thinks Robbie is great.

So that's the criteria? Not due to his constant mass appeal and popularity?

Who knew?!!

If I had millions I'd build a nice cottage by a lake big enough to land a float plane on and have a small generator and diesel storage.

then I'd fly out once a month to buy supplies and otherwise live like a bootlegging hermit and look for aliens while I grew some nice herb.

The man's got money. Let him live his dream.

sorry to hog this, but thought I should link to the track I mentioned earlier (new window)

Headphones on, volume up, full screen.

The article calls him a "Global Megastar". Who is he? Never heard of him until this submission. maybe I should Google his name and see if anyone else has heard of him.

Stantz: You forgot one

That's hawt!

/would still let him hit it ... even with the beard.
