Zamboro 2009-11-26 01:29:08 AM
fark. So now we've got to endure thousands of Truthers crowing about how certain lines taken from these messages vindicate their conspiracy theory? And how long do we have to put up with that for?

Daniel Schmitt, a Wikileaks spokesman from Berlin, said the pager messages were submitted to the site anonymously several weeks ago.

"From the context information that the source provided we have strong reasons to believe that this is valid data," Schmitt said.

lol wat? Just because they're written in the perspective of that day, no one's going to do any real questioning? They've got better ways to verify this, right?

It's Wikileaks, not The Daily Show.

This proves that the towers were knocked down under the order of the Knights Templar, which is really a front for the Illuminati. Which of course is a front for the Five Jew Bankers.

Wheels within wheels.....

KOOLmike 2009-11-26 01:42:35 AM
So these "Truthers" think 9/11 never actually happened? Unbelievable. I mean, our government may have known about it in advance or even helped to pull it off, and if they didn't, they're certainly milking it for all it's worth when it comes to shoving oppressive and tyrannical legislation down our throats, but god damn, look around you-- that shiat most certainly did, unequivocally, without a doubt, happen.

Fark...

I think you misread that. They didn't mention anything about "perspective of the day".

I had a Skytell 2000 "Skywriter" that day. I would guess my only message sent was something like: "HOLY CRAP BABE. The upstairs roof garden is going to need some work. A bunch of dead people just landed on my flower pots."

I admit it was only one dead person. And it was only a leg.

No way to know for sure if it was male or female. The cops took it away

KOOLmike: our government may have known about it in advance or even helped to pull it off,

That's my $3.50 on the matter, anyways. Bushco knew about it, and allowed it to happen because it was politically expedient.

There are simply way, way too many coincidences that happened on that day.

These are less revelatory than one would think.

1. If your network was down or choked, you won't be able to send/receive a page. (There are exceptions for a thick grid like Wall Street, but still ...)
2. Most of these are IT chatter for companies unwilling to pay for cell phones: "I'm not pinging. Check on me, damnit."
3. There's the usual amount of folks who don't know what the hell pager is and opened it to spam and freemail ad signatures.
4. Most folks had cell phones, even nine years ago.
5. Pagers are receive-only. These aren't communications. They're notes in a bottle.

Still: kick ass WikiLeaks. You're doing God's work. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving. Good job on consuming an otherwise placid news cycle with death and destruction.

They still haven't explained why a bunch of people took out put options, 6 times the average, on United Airlines right before 9/11. Without any further investigation, that right there proves the fix was in.

mikebdoss [TotalFark] 2009-11-26 01:57:01 AM
The pager messages are mostly very boring - a LOT of plain phone numbers, and a huge, huge number of sysadmin pages, automatically sent to let them know a server is down. Some other coded stuff too, probably doctors and lawyers.

I'm high as shiat and still in shock.

I want to ask you (Leskay) two questions. Do you think that the Bush administration was pretty dumb, or even went full retard at some points? If yes, then do you believe that said moronic administration could pull an attack on one of it's own government headquarters, get enough people to agree to do that, and keep it secret? I mean besides you truthers who have it all figured out.

I would believe you could provide an original photo of Bigfoot riding Nessie before I would believe that the government willfully took part in 9/11.

What boggles my mind is that people used pagers in 2001. My wife still has one because I guess the cell phone her hospital issued her is not good enough so she needs a pager as well. And I hate the damned thing. The prior person who had it set the alarm on it to go off at 5:45 a.m. and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to turn that crap off. No, I am not a luddite. Yes, I tried Google. Yes, I had my wife complain to whoever is in charge of pagers at the hospital.

I blame Michelle Obama. She wants me to wake up at 5:45 for no reason everyday.
