It really does seem like it's been more than 10 years somehow. Usually events from a decade or more ago feel much more recent. Interesting. Maybe because I haven't really thought about it sense it was a big deal. As I recall, I mostly didn't understand why it was in fact such a big deal and how it escalated into an apparent military operation.
