Awesome!

That means it's over for another year!

Well - you cared enough to post a headline about it. Not too smart - are you?

No shiat. My wife actually likes to watch that ... stuff.

I'm taller than Donny, though, so that's a plus too ;)

On a side note, Marie is 5'3 1/2". Wow. She's actually taller than my wife ;)

Maybe subby is my son, who argued with me yesterday - and gleefully proclaimed victory - that the correct saying is that someone "could care less" because apparently caring a tiny bit but not enough to matter is less than not caring at all.

Yeah, about that. They run two separate spring and fall seasons, so it will be gearing up again in March.

This season of DWTS was a great disappointment to me. Specifically, I was hoping that Tom Delay would either (1) snap an ACL on live TV, or (2) take a massive savate kick upside his face by Chuck Liddell or Mark Dacascos during a group dance.

But instead, much like with his congressional seat, he pussed out and quit.

Well, that's what Republicans do.

He and Sarah Palin ought to go bowling.

Cheeseweasel: Does that mean the shark jumped? Please?

Anything that forcibly introduces the Osmonds to the world has jumped the shark.

Nobody has cared about the Osmonds for years, yet those celebrity shows keep funneling them through the system.

They must have a great agent.

Here is the clip of the winning dance. I didn't know they let two men be partners on that show.

rocinante721 2009-11-25 02:33:11 PM
Osmond is a professional performer; same for Mya, who is a professionally trained dancer. Kristie Yamaguchi winning it a few years ago is totally BS. May as well have Michael Flatley perform.

Kellie Osborne making the final 3, though .. probably should have won. She actually did the most with nothing.

/watched last night for 1st time

I have no idea how this show continues to attract big name stars like Louie Vito, Mark Dacascos and Natalie Coughlin.

Atomic Spunk 2009-11-25 03:02:27 PM
Whenever I think of Donny Osmond, it reminds me of an interview he did with Howard Stern years ago where Donny stated that he believed it was degrading to a woman to give a man oral sex. He told Howard that he had never received oral sex in his entire life.

Donny actually said something like, "You really expect the woman you love and respect to put that in her MOUTH? Yuck!"

I was incredulous. Even my wife said, "What's wrong with him?"

Natalie Coughlin shouldn't be on your list. She's won 10 Olympic medals, including six at Beijing in 2008. (Plus, she's kinda cute.)

While I'm happy for Donny, I can't help but feel he's a bit of a ringer. He's spent a large part of his life on stage dancing. No it wasn't ballroom dancing true but still.

/yes a thoughtful post in this thread, suck it ;)

There are lots of shows on television with attractive women that don't require you to sit through 13 minutes of commercials, 9 minutes of talking about ballroom dancing, and 8 minutes of actual ballroom dancing.

Donny works for Entertainment Tonight I think, so they pretty much have breaking Osmond news as a regular feature on their show. Not a bad deal for him I imagine, he reads a few fluff pieces for them every week and in return they pretty much keep his career on life support and fawn over everything he does.

Atomic Spunk: "You really expect the woman you love and respect to put that in her MOUTH? Yuck!"

Spoken like a man who's never gotten a beej. I guarantee you...a few minutes in the hands (mouth?) of a gal who knew what the hell she was doing, and Donny'd change his tune faster than a skipping jukebox. At least...once he could SPEAK again, he would.

And anyway...he's thinking about it all wrong. I've gotten FANTASTIC head from women I downright LOATHE. Sometimes the fact that you DON'T "love and respect" who you're getting it from just enhances the experience, dammit. Not to mention that anyone you DO "love and respect" can't love and respect you very much in turn if they're not willing to take a shot in the pie-hole at least ONCE in awhile. Sheesh.

Are the Mormons pissed that the $cientologists came along and stole their "crazy" thunder, or something?

What I remember from that interview is that Donny was a pretty regular guy and had a lot of fun talking with Stern, Mormon sex fear not withstanding. Stern's true gift is being able to interview someone and the listener will know if that person is a asswad or not. Donny is not.

Well, if you're going to watch TV with the sound off, you should check out Telemundo or another spanish-language broadcast. Every game show features a dozen half-naked spanish broads who don't even have lines.

They just stand there and bounce.

I had the same impression. He struck me as a down-to-earth guy who is very devoted to his religion without being sanctimonious. That's a rare combination. I don't recall if Donny was on the Stern show to promote anything or not, but the fact that he actually did an interview with Stern says a lot Donny.

Donny is also one of the few child stars who didn't self-destruct. I'm a fan and I'm glad he won the dancing competition.

It's a touchy subject. She's actually incredibly bright, yet pollutes her soul with that crap. I really wish we lived in a world that didn't have any use for Dancing with the Stars.

I always thought "couldn't care less" was the wording. I mean if you "could care less" then there is room to "care less". But if you "Could not care less" then it is absolute.
