I'm glad Dantonio is actually doing something about this... Winston was a great RB in the games that he played but he already was on a second chance and then managed to fark that up.

Winston already was out of action with a right knee injury.

Jenrette was lost for the rest of the regular season with a broken foot.

Jenrette is a Red Shirt Junior. Winston is a Sophomore. This kind of hampers next season, but sounds like just a minor setback for whatever crap bowl they go to. And since they are apparently identified, look for them to cooperate in order to try to ease their criminal sentences. They are injured, kicked off the team, and trapped. They have nothing to lose except for respect from their fellow thugs.

Also, I asked in the prior thread if the NCAA can ban them for life. I don't know how severe the penalties they have in a non-game situation are, if any. I do recall something about a player taking his helmet off on the field (a big no-no) a week or two ago but the time had expired in the game, and their was some sort of hubub if the NCAA could take action.

Glenn Winston being one of a few is probably worse than if it were 20 that had not already been in jail and let back onto the field immediately after being released from jail. Oh, and was in jail because he put a guy in the hospital when he and a group of football players specifically went somewhere to go beat someone up -- sound familiar?

The government shouldn't treat people differently because of race and individuals shouldn't write off an entire race and thereby deprive themselves the benefit of outliers.

Dan Antonio used to coach at Cincinnati before taking the job at MSU. I wonder if the future is so bright for Notre Dame if they pick Brian Kelly as their next coach who is now coaching at Cincinnati after Antonion's departure.
