While I have never been big on NBA roundball, Abe did take our Chinatown from an ethnic enclave that wasn't much visited unless you were Chinese to a thriving economic zone. It also gave us a hockey rink that was closer than the other side of the Q@*$Y(*#574y beltway for us hockey fans who happened to live in Virginia.

I'm concerned about what this means for the Caps. I hope Leonsis doesn't make them an afterthought like Pollin did for 20 years. i guess we'll find out. Leonsis has been absolutely great so far, and taken a bath because Pollin found new and exciting ways to screw the Caps after he sold them.

Will Leonsis find the Wiz to be an exciting new toy and disregard the Caps? Or will the Caps actually not have to go on a 14 game road trip in October because of a goddamn horseshiat show at the Verizon center? Will the Caps NOT be forced to yeild home ice advantage to the Pens in the playoffs? who knows?
