Who?

Starryeyes [TotalFark] 2009-11-24 10:49:54 AM
If it doesn't have David Tennant in it, I'm not interested.

Michael Moorcock? Isn't his prose kinda turgid?

SphericalTime [TotalFark] 2009-11-24 11:29:00 AM
I know, right?

mediablitz [TotalFark] 2009-11-24 11:31:10 AM
Amanda Laycock is co-writing.

Plong42 [TotalFark] 2009-11-24 01:03:40 PM
The dialogue is rather stiff.

Penis.

CarnySaur 2009-11-24 01:13:01 PM
Oh great, so it'll probably be one big anti-United States rant like his documentaries. No thanks.

So will the Doctor start with everything, then lose it all, and have his sonic screwdriver destroy reality?

GameSprocket 2009-11-24 01:47:18 PM
Sounds like a character in a porn version of Fahrenheit 911.

Trustafarian 2009-11-24 01:47:33 PM
I guess the Dr. would just be another incarnation of the Eternal Champion.

gavsarris 2009-11-24 01:54:14 PM
Giggity.

Just came in to say heh heh, Moorcock.

So all this time my girl friend has been screaming an author's name.

Metraxis 2009-11-24 02:05:13 PM
No no, not the Eternal Champion. The Seventh Doctor will head to the Brothel in the Rosenstrasse on the night before the bombs hit, He will very thoroughly enjoy himself, though you may never look at hat pins the same way again.

EbolaNYC [TotalFark] 2009-11-24 02:17:52 PM
Dr. Who will have a soul stealing sword? KEWL!

House of Tards: Michael Moorcock? Isn't his prose kinda turgid?

I've often detected veins of dark humour running through his work.

Trustafarian: I guess the Dr. would just be another incarnation of the Eternal Champion.

No, he'll decide that Jesus isn't worthy to die on the cross, so he'll allow himself to be crucified, and will regenerate on the third day.

/Behold the Doctor

Now if it is a "Choose Your Own Adventure" and features
z.about.com

you will have to scrape my brains off the ceiling.

oh, I loved that episode... she whispered his true name, and I nearly nerdgasmed. He has a name! I hope they'll reveal it someday.

You don't think it's better if they don't? They've already explained far too much about the character. They destroyed Gallifrey and the Time Lords to bring back some mystery to the character.

Jim_Callahan 2009-11-24 06:47:08 PM
Since I'm apparently one of the few FARKers not completely illiterate, I can't do a "Moorcock who?" post with a straight face. So, instead:

Michael Moorcock is still alive? Huh.

numb3r5ev3n 2009-11-24 07:49:47 PM
Who wants to put money on there being a Von Bek/Eternal Champion incarnation/shoutout/Jerry Cornelius cameo in there somewhere?

/It's a turning world.
//Imagine the Captain Jack/J-Corn slash fanfiction. I sure as hell already am.

I would dedicate my soul to Arioch for a decent Elric movie.

Ya, I don't think they can reveal his name. No matter what it is, it'll be disappointing.
