Just be careful that the network guys don't start monitoring and noticing a ton of SSH traffic from just your IP. Small companies are good, but the large company I work for would shut me down after about an hour of unauthorized ssh. :( Also, a thought for you.. you can also use SSH and just make your own proxy server. That's if they close VNC traffic. ;)

You can tunnel SSH over HTTP or even DNS. The later is particularly handy because:
A) No on monitors internal DNS usage
B) Even if they noticed lots of DNS queries, it's one more level of abstraction to trace back to you
C) DNS uses UDP, so you can easily fake any/all addresses on your subnet to further hide your origin
D) You can often do DNS lookups even if you aren't allowed to connect to the Internet, via the local cache/proxy that *is* allowed to access the Internet.
