Secondly, can anyone present an unbiased appraisal of the latest Kings of Leon album? I was on board for the first two, then heard the single for the third album, and it seemed pretty apparent they were going into the "forced growth to prove that we can really evolve, man" phase.

KOL's latest album is pretty good IMO. The 17 year old enjoys it as much as us old folks. Read a RS article on them, and those boys sound like hell on wheels while touring.

Good lyrics, nice melodic sense while still rocking.

Agreed, their first two are great. The third, meh. But this fourth one is full-on "appeal to the masses" mode, IMO. Which I never mind so long as I find it re-listenable.
