There's an ever so rare chance that her outfit is squeezing her hip inward to create an awkward image. If that's the case, the image should've been fixed in Photoshop to prevent it from looking so strange.

I've worked as a photo-retoucher, there were oddities that have happened in unretouched photos where I've been asked to "fix" things that look "fake" and to make them look "real."

What's scary is that they probably added some skin there rather than making her look skinnier. You know you're really skinny when photoshoppers are adding pounds to you.

If you look at the top of her thigh area, you can see it goes up into air. This is 'shopped ot the 'nth degree.

That being said, she has man-face.

I always thought it was part of her soul she had to sacrifice for her fame... guess it was only her hip bone.

Friendimpaired 2009-11-22 04:12:07 PM
Hasn't anyone considered the possibility that the fabric bunching up could had created the illusion of the misplaced hip? If you drew an overlay onto the shape of her body, it wouldn't be so weird. Her leg is out-turned a bit (yeah, cocking her hips), so it would push the fabric up a bit.

/draws lots of nekkid ladies

Doesn't matter. Your traffic adds to the site's numbers, which in turn helps the site get a better CPM when negotiating with advertisers. Your traffic also contributes to the site's ranking and helps make them a desirable place to advertise.

Merky: People need to realize the difference between a hip and an upper thigh. Also, it does appear that her hips are "cocked" a little raising her right ass cheek and hip leaving the other side more streamlined giving the appearance of an less defined hip area.

The problem I have is, and I fully admit it might be illusory, that the line established by her lower left thigh before it reaches the fabric is not consistent with the line of her hip higher up in the shot. She might have some garment underneath the loose wrap that is seriously tight and acting in corset fashion to pull her flesh out of its normal shape, but something is definitely off: There is too much daylight in that space and the lines of her body seem askew in that one area.

Also I would trust the one who took the photo, as that is what the article about. Trust said photographer over a random internet person making assumptions.

I tried to follow the links there, I admit they were confusing, but I didn't get that this was the photographer for that particular shoot, but that he is a current W cover photographer. I mean, I'd expect that the guy who took the photos would have his own originals from the shoot, why would he need to rely on Demi Moore's version?

/might totally not understand how the fashion business works.

I could buy this being due to cocking the hip. The problem is, if you do it that way, there is a strong tendency for the arm/hand on the left side to hang lower. The picture shows the exact opposite.

And don't quote me with the the two homo's pic. I'd still do her, just don't see the relevance.

You might be right that I was confused and not the original photographer. As for having the original... in photography, when you do contract work, it is generally in the contract that the copyright and the originals go to the customer not the photographer (like when you program for a company, said company owns the program, not the programmer). It is only when the photographer is the one commissioning the work, do they retain ownership (as opposed to say, the model they are photographing).

Of course, this is flexible depending on the contract, but whenever I was commissioned for photography work, it was agreed that my payment covered both the work and the transfer of ownership. Much in the same way, when I photographed someone for my own work, I retained ownership of the images even though the image was of someone else.

BackAssward [TotalFark] 2009-11-22 10:04:01 PM
addendum:

Sorry, I should also mention that contractually, transfer of ownership usually also means destruction of any copy the photographer has. In some cases, they are allowed to keep a copy in order to promote their work, but an actress posing for a magazine cover is highly unlikely to be one of those cases.

a) the photographer doesn't have access to his own original photo?
b) Demi, to me, will always be that furry little beav from 'Oui' magazine

Not quite correct.

Anything below the surgical neck of the femur (the area of the greater trochanter is considered "thigh" while everything above that (in the pelvic region of the ala or "wing of the pelvis") is in laymans terms a hip. When shooting a hip x-ray for example, you're focusing on the actual joint space.

tl;dr, joint + above = hip
below joint = thigh

2.bp.blogspot.com

however, with this outfit, it's too hard to tell at what angle her pelvis is sitting. Therefore I insist that she remove the article of clothing and pose for a new picture :)

I have ceased to find her attractive. Ever since she developed a cancerous, parasitic growth, she's just not desirable. It's sad.

/I think the medical term for it was Ashtoncytic Kushernoma.
