Well, I guess someone had to adapt the formula behind Japanese dating simulation games to something people on this side of the world might be able to comprehend.

The funny thing is that this is how that entire industry got started over there: seemingly shallow games with simplistic goals and some replay value included in the form of randomness of events (Tokimeki Memorial for the SNES comes to mind).
