Anyway, it doesn't entirely matter what they dress Barbie in for the store display -- kids are going to strip her naked within minutes of getting her out of the box. Kids are curious, about people and about toys and about whatever the hell that is over there, and more than that, even, they crave the chance to be demigods to even lesser creatures. Human effigies, realistic or not, are too tempting to pass up.

A locking chastity belt Barbie would be more effective, but kids would find a Dremel somewhere and have at it just the same.

I don't know if it's because they really are pretty in the face, or if the hijab just emphasizes the gorgeous eyes and delicious lips, or if it's a forbidden fruit thing (kind like the glow of a pregnant woman...).

just got back from spending a couple weeks in dubai and i must agree....the "mysteriousness" was kind of a turn-on....and when only the eyes are showing, some really make an effort to make them look quite beautiful...not to mention that the all black thing is kind of goth in a way
