While I like Mariotti, I imagine 1) a random girl punching his head for no reason and 2) Mariotti getting dragged out kicking and screaming by a couple 300-pound bouncers, all the while screaming "it's not my fault, I didn't do anything" would be quite funny to see.

I don't know who to hate more, Mariotti or sports blogs...

On one hand, Mariotti is a complete D-bag and pretty much ruins ATH(which is quite a feat, considering the cast of scum that is typically on that program)

Yet, these scumbag blogs like DS and SbB don't even bother covering the actual sports world. They are like the TMZ for fantasy sports loving, mother's basement dwelling shiatheads.

It's Deadspin. it's not exactly not a bastion of accuracy or tact, which is why it's a useful place. Want some good writing about a sports team? Go to your local newspaper, or ESPN. Want a story about Jay Mariotti getting the shiat kicked out of him? Deadspin.

Pics or no pics, true or false, the story is still awesome, and I will repeat it all day as though it's the gospel truth.

I didn't have any idea who this guy was until I read that story, and I read ESPN all the time. I guess he's not a bad writer like Jemelle Hill. But we can nominate a sports writer who I would like to see flip out and get the bum's rush that would be Dan Shaughnessy.

Bah, defeated by refresh and other considerate Farkers. I read that article when it was first linked on Fark, and have ever since been amused on ATH when the little board behind him just say "Chicago" instead of coming from a newspaper or TV newsroom. I've always wondered if the other guys on the show give him crap for that.
