Sad but unsurprising.

The Monarchs provided better entertainment than the Kings in recent years.

Dumping the Monarchs is simply a prelude to the Maloofs taking the Kings out of Sacramento. There is no political appetite to impose taxes to build some fancypants arena, so the Maloofs are going to take their ball and go away. It's just a matter of time.

Then, Sacramento can return to its true cow-town status.

That whole league is probably just some kind of tax dodge anyway. No male sports fan gives the tiniest shiat about which girls are the best basketball players.Or really, about any female athletes at all, unless they are hot. Did they really expect people to pay to watch a league where even the best teams would get their asses handed to them by any half decent boys hs team?
