Fun fact: Dhani was in my orientation class at Michigan. I had no idea who he was nor why all the chicks were fawning all over him. I just thought he was a weird guy from Maryland. He was the only one of the Black people in the group to take his shoes off and walk through the fountain (retarded Michigan tradition (new window)). He also banged both the chick I had a crush on at the time and one of my ex-girlfriends.

/and he's my frat brother
//cool story, bro

i remember him from high school. He was great, but his dad was awesome. He would go to every game and cheered the loudest. And that standoffish attitude is something you develop growing up in Potomac. Trust me.

That actually is a relatively interesting story.

Sometimes, he can be an ugly American on that show. The Switzerland episode was painful.

Yanks_RSJ 2009-11-20 03:01:53 PM
Whatever, he sucked with the Giants.

dhani was such a great linebacker (with a low rating) in nfl2k5.

I passed over so many other great backers, and always picked him up late in fantasy franchise draft.

He's a class act.

... and Eagles. I hate that son of a biatch. And the Weenerser only increases my ire for him.

Um ... Weenerser = what blackminded said.

/I think that's the first time I've been filtered

The Spain episode made up for that in spades though. Him in Basque country, learning Jai Alai? Way nice.

/I hate the swiss anyway

True...his honest attempt at learning the regional sport is respectful and nice to see (but probably a given, considering professional athletes are naturally competitive as hell), but his attempts at mingling with local society can be cringeworthy.

He always comes off as a decent guy, but he can certainly tone down his disapproval towards certain local cuisines, etc.

Oh, since I'm chock full of them, Fun Fact #2: He used to have a segment on the U-M University Channel (like public access TV for students) where he read poetry. "From the Mind of Makalani" or something like that.

/his middle name is Makalani
//I'm done now
///you should hear my Charles Woodson stories

Are they good or bad (for him)?

/my cousin played at Penn St and represents some NFL players currently
//no dirt or funny stuff to share, though

Killer Cars: Are they good or bad (for him)?

Scholarship football players at Michigan in 1997 don't have any bad stories, unless you think lots and lots of sex with many beautiful 18 year old girls is bad.

/it's not
//I wasn't getting laid
///I was just friends with the groupies

Beat me to it. I want to watch some jai alai matches out there. Smart of him not to take the bait and bet against his own teacher. Shifty basquerds.

/want to see this show crossed w/ Man vs. Food
//for every ball Dhani can get through the sideways ring in that Aztec game, Adam has to eat a giant burrito

I got a Woodson story...My sister was dating the long snapper at UM when they went to the Rose Bowl in 1997. My sister went to high school in the same city Snoop Dogg lived in, so she took her boyfriend to see Snoop's house. Lo and Behold, Snoop was outside and they talked with him. Snoop said he wanted to meet Woodson, the newly crowned Heisman winner, and the boyfriend said he would bring him over the following night.

My sister, who had all of her sorority sister down for the Rose Bowl, invited all of them to meet Snoop along with Woodson. So the next night, 5 cars full of sorority girls and Charles Woodson roll up to Snoop Dogg's house. We're talking over 20 people here. They go up to the door and Snoop's bodyguard tells everyone to get lost. I remember seeing Woodson on the street looking real pissed off he got rejected by Snoop Dogg.

/yes, this really happened
//cool story bro

Also, one of my sister's Sorority friends was a student-trainer for UM Football. She would tell my sister that seeing Dhani Jones would make her Hoo-Ha tingle with excitement.

It's gotta be annoying to have some large American come and dominate you in your native sport, get more press and money than you'll ever get, then go home to bang several women a night. I'm depressed just thinking about it.

All the Giants suck now. And he is good.

Weird.

I prefer honesty and ugly Americanism to the lame-ass everything is awesome of every other food around the world show.
