Gee, the poor Flames and Flames fans. I feel terrible for them. Oh well, there's always Lanny MacDonald.

So begins the flamewar

I have no idea why but the Hawks always have the Flames number, it is just more obvious now that the Hawks don't suck. I hope they don't run into them in the post-season.

Hope the Oilers and Sharks don't run into the Stars. I say it's gonna happen to the Sharks this year and they will choke again. Good times.

I was at the game, it was awful.

My biggest problem was at the end of the second period when all the fans booed. I know they stunk (I'm a fan from the 90's, I've seen worse stink) but you never, ever, under any circumstance boo the home team.

Maybe I'm old school, but I think your team should always have one building where they can do no wrong.

It must be hard to kick with hockey skates on.

You must have never been to a game earlier this decade where Mike Vernon was in net.

Try as I might, I could not find a picture of Havlat kicking Hal Gill in the balls and youtube is blocked at work. Sorry guys.

That game was epic. I actually felt bad for Kipper at first, because his D was failing him. I was not surprised to see him pulled in the 3rd.

That guy has to just hate playing the Hawks. Lost to them in some hard-fought playoffs games, blew a 5-0 lead and then gets routed 7-1 in his own house...I have a feeling he won't get put in the net against the Hawks at the next meeting.

/Don't feel bad guys, Huet needed some time to get settled in this year too

My Blue Jackets gave up three field goals last week to the Red Wings (9-1)

We're still off to our best start in franchise history though, so yay!

HA! Oh wait, don't you have to first take a bite before you choke?

Almost as good as the 9-1 drubbing the Red Wings handed to Columbus.

(Followed by a 7-4 semi-drubbing over the Anaheim Phuques).

It does seem that way. And the sad thing is I have nothing against the Flames, so it's not like I derive any special enjoyment from the Hawks kicking their teeth in other than the simple pleasure of watching your team hang a large crooked number on another team.

I would loove to see the Hawks kick the shiat out of the Canucks, Red Wings, and Blues in no particular order though.

/Red Wings and Nyuks are self explanatory
//Blues deserve it for knocking the Hawks out of the playoffs in '93

May the Blackhawks burn in a fire of nuclear proportions!

/my most hated team of all time in any sport

Is that all? Well hopefully the Hawks can take that offense up another notch once Hossa is ready and maybe put up a 10 spot.

Biggest blowouts this year:
Detroit 9 - Columbus 1
Vancouver 8 - Colorado 2
Atlanta 7 - Los Angeles 0
Vancouver 7 - Montreal 1
Ottawa 7 - Tampa Bay 1
Chicago 7 - Calgary 1

Calgary is going to be on the losing side of that last a lot more once they catch up to the average number of games missed due to injury.

Try this again

jekostas: Now which Flames fan on here was arguing to me prior to the season start that their defense had significantly improved this year?
