Driving personal automobiles should be outlawed in NYC. End of story.

The Angry Hand of God: Driving personal automobiles should be outlawed in NYC. End of story.

I long for the day when all automobiles are centrally automated in certain population centers and I can doze on the way to work.

Then you will love this invention called the subway.

Took me 2 hours and 10 minutes to make it through jersey city and through the Holland Tunnel this morning.

/Before you jerks start screaming about mass transit. It was for work and I can't carry all the equipment in the subway.

Ooo! ooo!

Is the answer: "all of the days"?

I bet it is all of the days

Nah, I want my car to be not populated by a variety of hipsters, bums, and other undesirables.

I hate devices that add shiat to e-mail advertising that said device has e-mail capability.

"Sent from *******'s Blackberry"
"Sent from *******'s iPhone"

Farkin' annoying. If I had one of those devices and couldn't turn that shiat off, I would never send email from it.

I work on 5th Ave so I'm getting a kick...

...Actually, I'm dreading the coming month. Rockefeller Center is intolerable between the tree and Saks Fifth Ave light show.

Thankfully I'll be in LA for a week and Vegas for another week, and not around the city come Christmas or New Years

Yup, you forgot to mention people who like to take up 2 seats and think they own the whole damn train because they paid $2.25. Also the people who;

1. Blast thier IPOD and not notice that everyone else 20 feet from you can also hear your damn song which they also play on the radio every 6 times in 4 hours(yes KTU and Z100).

2. Sit in spaces which are clearly too small and manage to wedge their way in there to the point that if your siting next to them, you shoulders are in your neck.

3. Say excuse me so they can pass by you and give the impression they are going some where else, so you move out of the way from your comfortable spot where you can stand up and hold on to something and that person ends up standing exactly in the same spot you were standing in, thus taking your spot.

4. Come on to the train with a pointy handbag which just soo happens to swin and hit you right in the center of your lower back where it annoys you the most.

5. Stand up wayyyy to close to you when your sitting down and wont take a hint to step back even when there is room. This can result in;

a) crotch in your face
b) newspaper hitting you when they turn the page
c) stepping on your feet
d) their clothing or umbrella covering up something you trying to read

Yea, yea farkers, you say "excuse me" and they stop but some people would just look at you like its your fault and forget and do it again 5 minutes later.

6. Cant control their kids. I make it a point not to sit behind any strange kid on the train. Not only do they like to lean over on your side and touch you with cheeto, saliva, and booger covered fingers (yes i have seen all of this happen)but their parents just ignore them and end up doing something else like talking to her friend about her "man problems". After 10 minutes or so you hear a single "Sit back down"! and the kid a minute later goes back to doing the same thing.

//end rant for now
//feel free to add more

TonnageVT: .Actually, I'm dreading the coming month.

I used to work by Penn Station. We used to call December "brown bag month" because there was no way we were stepping out for lunch with those mobs in the area.

/used to work at 30 Rock in the late 80s -- it was nice to see the tree early in the morning when it was quiet or in the evening from the calmness of my boss's office

Yup, the NY media interviewed pretty much any one they can find on the street that would claim congestion pricing is bad (which was 5 taxi drivers to 1 walking pedestrian). They failed terribly at demonstrating the repercussions if the plan did not go through and made the people who came up with it look evil for thinking about it. Fair and Unbiased my ass, they were just going after the one thing this cities people love to criticize; the MTA. All probably just to gain public favor to say that they are always with the people and for the people. And isnt that where the votes come from dont they Albany? Nobody ever looks at the big picture anymore.

I would welcome that, should they ever modernize the subway system.

I deal with the 1-hour commute from Brooklyn to Midtown every day, because it's the only economical option, but if I want to visit somebody who lives on the Upper West Side I can either get there in 35 minutes by car or 2'20" by train.

I have no pity for anyone that drives on Manhattan accept delivery drivers and cabbies. Because they have to deal with you driving in nyc for no damn reason
