I accidentally my iPod the other night and ended up listening to this show for the first time. What a bunch of paranoid morons! I listened to a five-minute rant about something or other and instead of an argument on the merits of the issues, it ended up being a whine session about how the media treats him unfairly. That people believe this tripe is truly scary.

It's pretty clear that GB was referring to NY state government, what with the California remark coming right after it.

New York takes its taxpayers' money and...well, it's not at all clear what is done with all that scratch. The roads suck, crooks steal $5b a year off the top of Medicaid, the parks are in atrocious shape, the schools mediocre...

On the other hand, if you're a government employee you have a pretty sweet ride, especially in the NYC suburbs. Welcome to the land of the $335,000-a-year cop.

Anyway, it's not like Beck was telling New Yorkers something they didn't already know. We're four weeks away from running out of money...the legislature, they're taking a breather after a grueling three-day work week.
