My thoughts exactly. I could pretty much immediately tell what was going on. That and the over-the-top reactions by the off-screen peanut gallery gave it away.

According to most reviews, the dog may have actually been playing if it was set on easy. Apparently on easy mode you can pretty much kick the skateboard around the room and rack up awesome points.
