I was at the top of it last month. Nice design, and a very impressive view--and a hell of a lot nicer natural scenery to be viewed in Taipei than in Dubai.

smoggy yes, the reason is it's a major shipping area and I believe they don't have the laws about switching from bunker fuel close to shore there.

QF1 is very ordinary comapred to the rest of the world.\
Grand Hyatt and Jin Mao in Shanghai is a awesome view.
Park Hyatt at SWFC in Shanghai is even better (or the 110th floor observation deck.
Taipei 101 is different because everything around it is a maximum of 20-40 stories. During a non-windy day, you can get up a couple of extra floor on the outside also.

The Eiffel Tower is good because the area around it is low, even though the tower isn't that high (relative to todays sky scrapers).

The Empaire State Building... is like driving at 1960's Rolls Royce... it may not be the best, but it has class and has to been seen to be believed.

The Petronas Twin Towers is awesome to see (from Traders Hotel is be best), but the observation tower is VERY low... (below 50th?).

I live in Hong Kong and my apartment is on the 59th floor and have previously lived on the 67th floor of another all-apartment building, so am used to living high.
