Terry lived about 2 miles from my house growing up in Keller, TX. One day i went to Blockbuster back in the 90's and saw him there. So i went up to him (i was younger and didnt care okay?) I told him that he had ruined my dads Superbowls twice in the 70's and that my father still held it against him. My dad is the reason why im a lifelong Cowboys fan. His fault, Thank god for him. ANyways, Terry leaned in a little closer, put his hand on my shoulder, and said with a Don Meredith-like swagger," Well son, you can tell him, i had a hell of a lot of fun doin it." Then he winked at me gave me a little side hug, signed an autograph and was on his way. I like Terry Bradshaw....

It's one of the few deals the Lions have gotten the best of in my lifetime...yet they'll blow the picks anyway.

Brandon Pettigrew looks like he's going to be good and Sammie Hill and Aaron Brown have looked ok.

So, yeah. Looks like Lions might've gotten this on right.

As a Giant's fan, I'm enjoying Roy Williams' Fail every game. Dropped passes, fumbles, the biatching about the lights being too bright. Its pretty much all I have left. Wagging the Giants is just too painful these days.

I really liked their draft last year. I thought they did really well. They must get a real left tackle though. That would allow them to move Backus to left guard (whether he likes it or not). Once they do that they will have a legit offense. If I were them I'd take the best left tackle available then draft all defense. They really need another defensive tackle and a speedy edge rusher for the right side. I think the linebackers are fine. The secondary could use an overhaul too. It's scary but they could be good in a year or two if they keep this up.

Actually the cowboys gave up a first-round pick in 2009, plus a third- and sixth-rounder that year for Williams and a seventh-round pick in '10.

I don't think that is equivalent to two first round picks.

I liked it too. I liked the Pettigrew pick. Delmas is the real deal. I agree with you about Backus, but I think you gotta help the D-Line first. Get that tackle and end, then worry about everything else.

And moving Backus to guard just changes the position of where the false starts come from.

Yeah but you're getting false starts and sacks right now from LT (6.5 sacks from Backus!!). You could probably get rid of the sacks part then worry about the false starts later. They will most likely get a shot at Russell Okung and they should definitely take him.

In addition to Cool Story Bro, I believe you since I, too, grew up in Keller. The Bradshaw house has a B, outlined by bricks in the shape of a football, on the chimney. I never met him, but I did hear from a few others who did that he was a down-to-earth, pretty cool guy.

Of course, Roy wasn't even worth the #1 pick, let alone the 3rd and 6th rounder that were also tossed in....and he sure as hell ain't worth Larry Fitzgerald money, which is basically what he is getting.

I was pissed when we first got him because I was saying even back then that we needed to give Miles Austin a shot to play. Lest we forget, Miles actually had his first "break out game" (115 yards and a TD on 2 catches against GB) literally just a couple of weeks before we made the trade to get Roy E Williams!!!!

Oh well, he's ours now, so I have to root for the guy to play well for the sake of the team.

Dude... how many guys grew up in Keller here? I'm a former Keller citizen myself. Never had a personal run-in with Terry Bradshaw, but an ex-girlfriend used to babysit his kids for his ex-wife. She said the guy was a jerk, but she was also a little crazy... I may re-think my opinion of him.

That school district has all sorts of problems yet they won't build more middle or high schools because they don't want to mess up their precious football team.
