FTFA: The diminutive Austin Powers actor

"Seth Green, isn't he that diminutive Austin Powers actor?"
www.nerdfitness.com

"Fark you dad!"

That's considered "waging war?" Wow.

mamoru [TotalFark] 2009-11-19 08:24:16 PM
from TFA: Green says, "I find it (online reviews) to be toxic and poisonous. Really people who write on the internet are people who want to be told they're very funny or creative, or be given some sort of job opportunity - so the things that they write are never nice."

What an excellent summary of Fark.com. :D

There's nothing quite so pathetic as a "celebrity" who's obsessed with online reviews or blog postings.

Dude, you could sleep on a bed of money if you wanted. One call, and you are snorting the finest blow Columbia has to offer off the perfect ass of a stunning call girl.

And you are concerned with what some loser posting from his mother's basement says about you.

Gangway Fathead 2009-11-19 10:26:04 PM
Dear Seth...

You REALLY don't want to hear what they're saying about Old Dogs.

Hector Remarkable 2009-11-19 10:28:20 PM
I kind of liked the commercial, but now I feel obliged to say something toxic about him, something clever and funny, and get some sort of job.

I'mSupposedToGetPudding 2009-11-19 10:31:14 PM
I find Seth Green mildly entertaining and I don't care who knows about it!

I found the commercial to be shallow and pedantic.

I find it (actors) to be toxic and poisonous. Really actors who read what other people write on paper are people who want to be told they're funny or creative, or be given some sort of paycheck or another job opportunity - so the things they say are shallow and pedantic.

Wow, really lashing out. That's some scathing comments, ContactMusic, thanks for reporting that incredible news.

In other news, Seth Green has a hotter girlfriend than anybody here at Fark, and she's the perfect height for full motorboating pleasure.

As long as he keeps making Robot Chicken, he can do anything he wants (well, short of breaking the law). As far as the commercial, WTF, people... it's a COMMERCIAL. Let the dude make some cash.

Dumb as it may be to get upset over Random Internet Guy(let's not forget Sam Jackson did earlier this year) it's a completely accurate statement. Sadly all it will do is fuel RIG for another weeks worth of useless flaming and photoshoping.

TimeWaste: It goes both ways. We're retarded for caring about his height, career, or life and he's retarded for caring that we care.

I doubt he cares... he's probably aware, and some TMZ-type dirtbag probably asked him some question related to the negative responses on the web over his viral ad campaign, and he stated the truth. What else is he supposed to say?

So a throw-away one-liner gets turned into:

"GREEN LASHES OUT AT 'TOXIC' BLOGGERS" and "SETH GREEN is waging war on bloggers"...

and ..."The diminutive Austin Powers actor was devastated to find a stream of cruel comments..."

All from a one line comment? Seriously? This is the real story - that some idiotic gossip writer writes a crappy article filled with strange assumptions arising from ONE LINE that was probably just a response to a question. Worse, a bunch of farkers are apparently alright with this, and even take it as gospel, forming opinions of some guy who acts and creates an animated series, based on wild exaggerations.

I don't know if Seth Green is "devastated" or "waging war" on anybody, and I certainly wouldn't characterize that line as anything of the sort, and if there was more comments made by him or somebody around him, you know they'd have quoted those, as well; since there are none, even taken out of context, it seems like the writer is making some pretty large leaps of logic.

Gossip Writers != Journalists.

I'm super tired, and I didn't even think about what I wrote. I meant to say that he sounded quite cavelier about the whole thing, and as you said, probably just answering a question asked. I meant to say it's the other celebs who are retarded for people caring.

I like Seth. I like Robot Chicken.

I have a friend the looks a lot like Kevin Connolly and/or Seth Green actually.

We wanted to do the main characters from entourage a couple years ago because we all look somewhat similar.

Robot Chicken is the worst thing ever. It is worse than Tom goes to the Mayor, and that show is indescribably bad. It's like if Tom goes to the Mayor took a shiat on Squidbillies and then crapped out whatever else the adult swim guys were high and scheming up

wouldestous 2009-11-20 12:27:25 AM
sites like contact music (or is it starpulse? maybe both, i dunno) appear to exist solely to post mildly inflammatory garbage that will get repeated somewhere like... fark to generate traffic.
and really, thats fine. apparently theres quite a market for low-grade swill on these news aggregation sites. theres a sucker born every minute, i hear.
after all, , its not like i come here looking for very much. im not reading fark for amusing puns on etruscan verb syntax or jokes about inca architecture or anything like that. its just that sometimes i wish for a slightly better grade of swill. lets show a little enthusiasm, shall we?

Tom Goes to Mayor is a great show. Robot Chicken is just Family Guy without the plotline.

Ive only ever seen one robot chicken, the one where voltron is breakdancing and gets "served." It was comedy gold.

Honestly, I don't see the sentiment suggested by the headline in the article itself. It looks like someone asked him about it, and then he just made a statement about shrugging it off. It doesn't even look like something someone would publish. Kind of why celebrity news sucks. They obsess over every little thing.

glave27 2009-11-20 02:04:46 AM
There was an article?

The best lashing out I saw was a few pics where Seth had the ultimate "Bash me all you want, but I'm banging this when I get home" look on his face.
