GA's two Senators should be sent to jail for crimes against humanity on their attempts to draw their state. It's not that hard and those were just plain awful! I would NOT want a Senator who didn't at least have a rudimentary understanding of what my state looked like...

No kidding. GA as shown kind of looks like MS.

Does anyone else find it interesting that when asked to point out "three important places" most senators pointed out their hometowns and whatnot instead of important cultural and historic areas?

Senators are self important douches, and I'm pissed that I only have one, and he couldn't be bothered to do this.

Susan Collins did not freehand Maine. She must keep a plastic magnet of the state or something.

Picturing something and drawing it are two entirely different things.

Nm, Those were terrible, and definitely not the result of poor art skills.

I was going to write something snarky about how there's no way Franken did that freehand, so I'm glad you pointed that out before I made an ass out of myself. Thanks.

Instead, I'll write something snarky about how this is a repeat.

Not nearly enough love for the Idaho senator. Talk about going above and beyond.

Nem Wan 2009-11-19 11:10:36 AM
Superman is not from Metropolis, Illinois, but from Smallville, Kansas, and he lives in a fictional large east coast city also called Metropolis. The small Illinois town of Metropolis has even been depicted in Superman continuity as a small town full of people who idolize the real Superman, who lives in the other Metropolis.

Is there anything else in Freeport except LL Bean, some outlet stores, and I-295?

But Collins not including our state's biggest (and most liberal) city is indicative of a much larger problem.

I clicked RI hoping he would have a sense of humor about it, and draw it really really ridiculously tiny.

Even if that wasn't a photoshop (which it is) it would not be a problem. The guy was a comedian on SNL for years, they do weird stuff. Back then, they were even funny on occasion.

Yeah, he pretty much filled up the paperspace given.

This task should have been manditory by all senators and then they should have made the representatives do the same thing for only thier districts.

I was amazed at how many Senators simply labeled their homes and birthplaces! The hell with the State and all that interesting state stuff! Here's my birthplace, here's where I grew up, and here's where I live now. Wanna see where my vacation houses are?

What incredibly egotistical gasbags!

I would love to be a fly on the wall when that shoop was made. I just want to know how they found the source photo and who in the GOP had a prior knowledge of adult baby fetishists.

I love how when asked to label three important places in their state, many of the Senators chose things like "my hometown," "where I live now," "where I went to college," etc. Yep, no self-importance problems with that group.

Or maybe draw it really, really big and put "scale 1:24" underneath?

It may also be a question of playing it safe. While I know of many important places in may state, and could drive there easily, I would probably make an ass of myself if I tried to put one on the map free hand. As a representative I could see them taking the easy way out, to avoid embarrassment.
