Nora's head nearly asploded on Monday having just read the book and was giving her first opinions. This must be a highly amusing event to attend.

Seems clear these people believe her past lies. They should really dig the book.

I thought that girl was going to cry. Or hit her.

How exactly has Sarah Palin upheld the constitution? Did she get to heft it when she visited Washington or something?

Right, when I think of Palin I think of someone who cares about the constitution

I mean in terms of years, not days.

It seems to be decreasing as time goes on. I suspect the rise of the MTV "we have no attention spans" generation is related. By the time they're running the show, anything that happened before the last commercial break can be safely ignored.

That would work if she was the darling of the MTV generation, you can't blame Sarah Palin on the kids.

That and those people don't really seem to understand the term "un-Constitutional." I'd be curious to see exactly what they think has been un-Constitutional.

I see it as a shift to cater to their preferences, not them pulling the strings. Everything is getting flashy and sped up. TV and movies that don't cut every 1.5 seconds are considered boring and don't do as well.

/ that or I just needed to take a stab at the MTV generation for funding the likes of Michael "we cut every 1.5 seconds, regardless of the confusion it causes" Bay.

THIS is the problem with America today. That dumb chick didn't say, "I didn't know that!" or "Are you sure?".

She said, "Where did you hear that." The implication being, the source of information is more important than it's accuracy.

That's a valid argument. Personally, I got "How dare you question my preconceived notions with facts?" That's as big of a problem for all sides of the political debate because everyone thinks they're an expert on things these days.

That's a huge problem with Palin supporters, too--point out that they or Palin is wrong about something and immediately there's an accusation of sexism, being liberal elite, etc. etc. No refuting the facts, just an attack of character. The source matters less than the target.

I didn't know hammers could clamp down.

Seriously, this is like hunting cows with assault rifles. While mocking Sarah Palin is something anybody with half a brain should feel obliged to do, this video just plays into the whole "OMG the media are bullies" concept. Nora O'Donnell had clearly prepared her evisceration of these two ahead of time, in that she had to consult her notecard to get her talking points right about the bailout. She obviously talked to them ahead of time, found out what they might say, led them to believe they'd be on camera, and in the interim researched her talking points. That's a little like someone who's spent time and energy preparing for one specific debate grabbing some unsuspecting stranger on the street and confronting them with his arguments, then feeling good about winning when they're not quick on their feet. It might be entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way, but it's ultimately pretty pointless. Finding two idiots in a Sarah Palin book line is like finding sugar in a Pixie Stick...Nora O'Donnell (and the rest of the media) should be asking Sarah Palin and her political supporters these questions, not a pair of clueless yokels.

Remember, kids, facts and history are written by the winners, and Sarah is a winner, so what she says goes. Right?

I love that Nora O'Donnell had that shiat written down. Probably had several flash cards to tackle the 'talking points' that an on-the-spot interview would dredge up.

the fact that a palin supporter is so massively uninformed is not shocking.

Crunch61 2009-11-19 06:58:26 AM
Uphold the Constitution? Haha, that would be funny if it wasn't so painfully ignorant. The first thing Palin wanted to do if elected was to somehow expand the powers of the Vice-President.

/Palin supporters make me nauseous.

Did you know, that during the VP debates, Sara Palin supported a decision made by the guy leading the ticket?

Not a Palin fan, but loaded question is loaded. These "interviews" are pretty much akin to Leno's "Man on the street" skits. And where was Chris Matthews to point out how white the crowd was? I'm pretty sure I saw a sort of brownish looking dude in there...

The woman was wearing an anti-bailout shirt, its not like the reporter had to dig through her trash to come up with some juicy dirt against her. She was openly advertising her ignorance/hypocrisy.

The sad thing is her agreeing to be interviewed, this young girl probably thought she was going to show up the MSNBC reporter with her vast Fox News, Rush, and Hannity education.

Living on that side of the state, I can tell you for sure that it was either a farmer or a spray tan.

And second, if you are a fan or supporter of a person for their beliefs, you better make sure that those are actually their beliefs. Otherwise you look like an ass on national television.
