That's gotta be some kind of viral video or something. No way in hell you could go around a traffic circle like that without all that shiat tipping over..

All that stuff must be strapped around some sort of framework bolted/welded to the car.

Maybe it's a German viral video ad ... for a ... Mercury Sable wagon ... that was made in the .......... 80's ....

A pretty good stunt--I can't imagine what it might be a viral ad for, though.

You usually can't, that's why they are viral ads.

Exactly. Cases in point: The giant waterslide was for Microsoft, Bruce Lee playing ping-pong w/nunchuks was for Nokia, singing Hey, Jude in Trafalgar Square w/Pink was for T-Mobile, etc.

/I have no clue who's behind this, but it's obviously a (very good) viral ad.

Besides all that, why would people be filming a random intersection even before the poor car hoves into view?

I call fake... the washing mach up there on its side is begging to tip and the force of the car turning would be enough to send it flying.

What they said sounded like either Scandinavian or Dutch, so I'm guessing they either:

a) mentioned a moving company in that country

b) It's an ad for DHL, whose truck stood out more than any other brand by far in the entire video

In the shot in the back seat the dogs head rubs up against the window frame. However, instead of hitting weatherstripping, it appears to be about 3/4" diameter steel pipe.

The roof of any car ain't designed to take that much weight. Ever watched the Pistons win anything? The first thing that happens when two people get on a roof is that it dents, and then, with hopping, starts to crush. That car would pancake after one bump if those objects were real.

This was a built rig, but for what purpose, who knows. You wouldn't put kids in the car (or a dog) if you knew there was a chance this thing would tip or hurt someone.

Surely in the vast greatness that is the fark user base there's someone who can translate this.

While I don't believe the video is real, it's not like people haven't tried similar stuff before (new window)...

/obvious fake is obvious...

jennyz 2009-11-19 12:15:52 PM
Physically impossible to take such sharp turns with that much stuff on top.

Has anyone mentioned it would be impossible to take turns with that much stuff on it?

Cause I want the internet to know I'm too smart for it.
