The guy with a giant c*ck tattooed on his chest.

Did somebody from Sherdog write the headline?

Brock is a beast and great for the UFC, wish him the best.

I Said [TotalFark] 2009-11-18 02:06:43 PM
That's great news. Not the biggest fan of him as a person, but I am happy to hear such a positive prognosis given that it was very recently that there were discussions of serious health problems. Minor surgery then going home is good to hear.

And

Dr.Knockboots: Brock is a beast and great for the UFC, wish him the best.

yep

Never thought it was a good idea to "crossover" people personalities from wrasslin' to MMA, but Lesnar really seems like someone who can make a go of it.

Everyone seems to forget that he was a national champion wrestler in college before going to the WWE.

Some people in pro-wrestling are athletes and some of them have relevant experience.

Some people in pro wrestling are body builders.

Brock is in the first group.

I like how he could rip every limb from my body yet still kind of manages to look like an oversized infant.

I like that. Maybe that's why I like chimps so much.

I feel like every time I've seen him fight, he wins with sheer size (gets on top, just pounds away until they're burger) or he gets tripped up in some clever lock and taps out.

Not a whole lot of in-between, but it's entertaining to watch and he seems like a quality character. Mad props to his NCAA Championships, too.

Agreed. The guy did what most of us would do and followed the money.

Anderson Silva is out with elbow surgery

Good to hear. He has a promising career ahead of him if he can return to fighting.

Still sad that he won't be main-eventing this weekend. Having a bunch of friends over to watch the show.

mentallo69 2009-11-18 03:42:03 PM
While I completely understand all the hate torwards the guy. I hate seeing a career possibly come to an end this way. Say what you want he is getting better every fight. I do not believe he did steroids, but who knows right.

Good Luck Brock, get back to UFC so someone can KYTFO

=============================================================

Yeah... he was national in college, had a football background, and well, he's freaking huge and quick.

If he had played football in college, he could've walked on with the Vikings. His quickness for his size is astounding. (I personally think he could've been a power running back rather than a defensive linemen)

He's the biggest PPV draw in the entire UFC. Great headline, dummy.

He's not ridiculously ripped or overly vein-y, no acne/bacne, and you since you need to be licensed to fight in the UFC you under go piss tests like everyone else. They've outed abusers in the past (Sherk anyone) and they've been dealt with. I really doubt he was on roids. I like him because he's kicking everyone's ass thoroughly like a giant kid on the playground and it couldn't be more entertaining to watch. Get well soon, Sable-boner.

Orgasmatron138 2009-11-18 04:07:57 PM
Brock is just a flat-out monster. He has the explosive speed of someone three weight classes down from him, but all the strength of a true heavyweight.

I hope that this sickness hasn't permanently affected his skills.

Yeah, wrestling's fake - but seeing someone send a 6'10" 450lb. monster flying unintentionally is pretty damn impressive.

More like 300 pounds. Let's not get into "Hulk Hogan recounting the story of how he bodyslammed Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III" territory here.

Most MMA fans tune in to see him lose. Maybe he got some crossover fans from his WWE days to buy a ppv to see him beat up on a 205 lb 45 year old.

Suffice it to say, but I'm not a fan of his. He's fun to watch though. I wrestled him (practice) in a University of Minnesota wrestling camp put on in northern Iowa. That was hilarious. Suffice it to say, an underclassmen who weighed 210 pounds in a small Iowa high school could not push around the NCAA champ. Also went to school with Cain Valesquez at Iowa Central. I passed on wrestling as a freshman because a) I had nerve damage in my shoulder and b)Cain would have farking killed me.

/Loves seeing collegiate/amateur wrestlers succeed in MMA. It can only help keep wrestling alive.

I really hope Lesnar will fight again. A Carwin/Lesnar match should be entertaining as all hell. The heavyweight division sucks ass in the UFC. If Carwin and Lesnar stay standing, it's going to end like a rock 'em sock 'em robots match: someone's head is coming off.

As much as it pains me to say it, but no Lesnar=no draw in the HW division. TUF 10 has a couple of interesting fighters, but no ready contenders. Marcus Jones is fun to watch, but his stand up is pretty bad. Roy Nelson is decent. Everybody else is a no-cardio schlub with limited stand up. The UFC would have to pay out the ass to get Fedor in a year when his Strikeforce contract is up (isn't happening because of the co-promotion demands of his management) or hope Cro-Cop regains form or Overeem signs with them and doesn't melt the cup when he gives a urine sample.

Come on, only MMA dorks tune into see him lose. I wouldn't say most MMA fans are territorial assholes who don't see how Brock has taken their sport to new heights, thus he's a very good thing for MMA.

Lot of guys hate him, but that's what he wants. He's a villain! All sports need their villains, makes people tune in.

Agreed. Many a fun Sunday morning has been spent reading summaries of post-PPV Sherdog threads. I'm a fan of anyone who can make so many people hate him SO MUCH that they'll all pony up $50 to see someone try to beat him. Carwin and Velasquez could both do it, after a few more fights each. Could.

Anyway, get well giant man who has never and will never read an internet board.

That would be a hell of a fight, although I think that anyone that says that the fight would definitely go one way or the other is wrong.

Fedor has great hands, but if Lesnar got him down, I don't know that Fedor could get out from under him. I think that was Sylvia's gameplan, but Tim doesn't have the freakish explosive shoot that Lesnar does. I also suspect that Lesnar can take a better shot than Sylvia.

Anyway, it would be awesome and I would pay to see it. I wouldn't even care who won, as long as it's a good fight.

I was Couture's biggest fan the night that he dominated Silvia. I respect Tim, but I was just tired of his "I'll either hold you on the ground or against the fence for 5 rounds" tactics - he was better when he wasn't fighting so cautiously.

I work with one of those people who HATE that wrassler. I told him simply...if he's just a fake wrassler, why can't the "highly trained ju-jitsu fighter Mir" and Captain American Couture get out from under him. Well...he weighs too much. I bring up Sylvia...well he was different he was a tall 265. People just hate him. But for us who watched him launch undertaker in the air, fail at a moonsault against Kurt Angle, and suplex big show off the top rope, we know he's a strong mofo and athletic freak. Get better big man and get back to drinkin coors light and mountin your wife.

Definately. There's so much collagen and botox in her face I think it's permanently frozen in that position.
