ricky williams has 5.3 yards per carry with 6 TDs as the second RB, dorkmitter. if pat white can run the wildcat, they'll be fine

Miami has problems right now, but Ricky Williams sure as hell isn't one of them.

Possibly.

Possibly
out for the season, submitter.

Possibly.

Ricky has been doing fairly well

He has blazing speed.

He does the 40 in 4:20.

Ah, forget. Too easy.

Dude, out of my two fantasy teams, I have R. Brown, M. Turner, C. Benson and K. Orton.
Did you all hear me shiat a brick last weekend?

/you should have

I think it's high time that Ricky gets this chance.

As a Dolphins fan and a Ronnie Brown Fantasy Owner...this news sucks.

Come on Ronnie, the FINS need you.

H31N0US 2009-11-18 04:43:33 PM
The media and all of sports fandom owes Ricky Williams a huge apology for the way he was portrayed when he resigned.

mjoven1975 [TotalFark] 2009-11-18 04:44:02 PM
With a chronic clubhouse cancer like Ricky Williams at running back, the Dolphins are going to get smoked repeatedly.

Dbdmjs1022 2009-11-18 04:44:28 PM
I picked up Ricky as a free agent on my fantasy team when I got fed up with LenDale White and cut him. He has actually done really well and earned himself a starting spot on my roster as the #2 RB behind Ray Rice and ahead of Matt Forte. Now that he's the starter, he should be even better.

/loves playing the free agent market
//also picked up Mike Sims-Walker on a hunch
///slashies!!

On a fantasy note no one cares about besides me that I nevertheless feel compelled to share with the world (the whole point of fark I guess), I would be totally cool Ronnie Brown being done for the year, because Ricky is one of my RBs and the guy in second place behind me has Brown.

Sees headline:

AHHHHHH!!! Dammit there goes any chance the Fins have for this season (yeah I was still holding out hope)

Reads article:

Oh...possibly out for the season...might not be so bad.

Clicks on link in that article to read other one:

WTF? He's out for tomorrow's game and a "league source" says that the dolphins may or may not know if he's going to be out for the season?

A+++ reporting NBC Sports. Would read again.

I want to see Henne, White, and Williams in a backfield. Two capable passers, two capable runners.

vinnydoz007 2009-11-18 04:57:12 PM
Personally all this is gonna do, is push Pat White into more plays, which ive been dying for for the whole season. White needs to take over the wildcat for Ronnie. Sure it will require a slight change in the plays as we dont want Pat white charging up the middle. But still this could prove to be a big opportunity for the kid. Ever since the draft, Ive been dying to see what this kid can do in the Wildcat. Frankly, even a non wildcat team could use him, boys got crazy speed and shiftyness.

The dolphins have lots of problems but none of them are named ricky williams. The dude has been nothing but solid for years now.

RumsfeldsReplacement 2009-11-18 05:16:48 PM
The whole season on his shoulders? That's a lot of pressure. I know of something he can do to mellow out, if necessary.

drunkness_monster00 2009-11-18 05:24:25 PM
No way does Ronnie go on IR. Ricky and Hilliard will do fine in his absence. Wildcat will suffer a tad bit though.

YEa, 'possibly out for the season' is all sorts of good news, isn't it?

translate that into reality...almost definetly out for the next 2-4 weeks...and if miami isn't contending then they will "re-evaluate" it.

Good luck with that

VvonderJesus 2009-11-18 05:31:20 PM
You could say the Dolphins have high hopes Ricky can smoke the competition.

TheBigPythagoras [TotalFark] 2009-11-18 05:34:23 PM
I don't mean to be blunt, but I think he could really bud into an even greater player given this opportunity. The grass is definitely greener where he is now compared to previous seasons.

/If I had the Courage Wolf Smoke Weed Everyday pic, I woulda posted it...

could be a good learning experience for henne. they arent going anywhere this year. might as well give the kid some experience running a set offense

wow. talk about bad timing of my post. I didn't think the injury was that bad, apparently the doctor he saw today said otherwise. That sucks, he was having a good year.

Everyone Sucks But Me 2009-11-18 06:07:01 PM
Get Henne out there a bit more often, a bit less Wildcat, and give the guy some receivers that aren't allergic to catching the ball (I'm looking at you, former Buckeyes, though you're not alone) and watch the solid season continue.

10min_game_misconduct 2009-11-18 06:07:18 PM
I traded Ronnie for Favre last week. And I have picked up Williams in a diff league 2 weeks ago. I'm feeling good.

Stupid idea. It's no longer the wild cat when he's back there. White weighs 160 pounds and is barely 6 feet tall. He's not that fast, and not that elusive. You lose the advantage of gaining an extra blocker because he can't run like ronnie or ricky and so he has to hand off to one of them. he's a very poor man's vick. He was a wasted pick. It's a stupid idea to use him and gives up everything you gain with ronnie or ricky taking the snap.

Man that sucks. I already think the three headed monster thinks he gets banged up to often. hopefully the union and the league don't come to a deal this offseason, because if they do his contract is up this year then. I get the feeling the dolphins don't pay him what he's worth this year and let him walk. Apparently the dolphins were discussing trading him for stone hands edwards in training camp. God forbade that disaster though. Thank you god.

Pat White and RW running the wildcat. But Pat White better be handing off to RW twice for every time he keeps it.

Don't feel bad, I have both Brown AND Michael Turner. Well, had, that is.

/so much for FF for the rest of the year.

Klivian [TotalFark] 2009-11-18 07:45:18 PM
All this FF talk heartens me, wonder how many of the Fark UFIA league members are reading this

I stayed away from Ronnie this year just because I wasn't ready to trust him coming off an injury. Yes, just because he got injured before doesn't mean he would again, but I wasn't ready to take that chance. Sure, I missed out on his production, but I'm not scrambling now.
