Oh, good, this must mean they've fixed all their other problems.

Ebay at 35,000ft? Interesting concept.

Does anyone buy out of Skymall?

/hopes Delta keeps their pre-flight safety video for a long time

There's a workout machine in there that is like tens of thousands of dollars. So expensive, they are like "go to our website for the pages of BS as to why."

looking it up now.. I remember it had a weird website name ("do the math" or "can you believe it" or something).. hm.

Wonder if any were ever sold.

I love it when I'm being scolded and told that smoking is not allowed.

It's gotta be the ROM. This thing: Link (new window)
The site I think you're referring to is http://www.whyisitsoexpensive.com (new window)

Hey, my kitten-sized dog LOVES it's little bed-stepper and I don't know WHERE I'd be without my pocket-sized UV water purifier and LP to MP3 converter that looks just like a 30s era gramophone.

Subby just has no appreciation for great taste and the finer things in life.

On my next Delta flight, I'm hacking from their Ebay site straight to midget porn and showing everyone because it's just about as useful and only slightly more entertaining.

Waiting for them to start selling advertisement space on their tickets like Comcast does with it's bills. Or is this already happening?

That chick can scold me anytime.

Hey! I'll thank you for not mocking my

... wait... Dammit!

wilde_at_heart

already covered it.

Giving us cattle passengers Skymall always struck me as a big mistake -- if you're so out of reading materials that you're flipping through the Skymall catalog, you *know* your flight is LATE. Each page another reminder that you should be standing in the baggage claim wondering what they did to your suitcase by now!

Has anyone used this ROM thing? Seems absurd and the websites read like a chain email. Everything sounds too good to be true and it's always the 'experts' that are wrong.

Apparently of everyone involved, from the people on this thread to the submitter and moderator who greenlit this, I'm the only one who actually read the article.

Because the article doesn't say "Delta to offer free access to ebay from flights", it says something entirely different.

What are these tickets you speak of?

No, no I read it to. For the uninitiated, Ebay is sponsoring wifi on Delta flights next week. I feel they'll probably let you see other sites than Ebay while you fly.

But I didn't come in here for facts, I came in here to watch people make fun of SkyMall. Carry on.

There's an article?

Maybe if Skymall had a handy mobile all-in-one make-posters-read-the-article-and-thread, we'd be better informed.
