The drummer in my last band was the lead singer. He pulled a Dave Grohl & switched to guitar a few years later. Damn shame, too. He was a far better drummer than guitarist.

I'm happy to say I now have "Tenement Funster" going through my head...that has always been one of my favorite Queen songs. Seeing them do it live was amazing.

Taylor Hawkins can sing. When I saw the Foo Fighters he and Grohl switched places for a couple songs.

I don't know how much love there is for DMB on Fark but Carter Beauford is probably the most overlooked drummer - especially by people who just assume that Dave is just mainstream pop garbage - typically if people look past that they understand what an amazing and different drummer he really is. I don't really know who I'm writing this to but I felt like it needed to be said. He often sings backup too.

Roger Taylor is a very, very good drummer and, if recall correctly, he played guitar in his side project The Cross back in the 80's and early 90's, not drums. Also, he is a terrific singer -- he has sung lead vocals on some great Queen tracks, as noted above and also including Fun It, Sheer Heart Attack and Fight From the Inside.

So, subby, I take umbrage at your insinuation.
