Good start. Now all they need is a new QB, a new offensive line, a stronger run defense, and...

Oh hell, they'll still lose. They're the goddamn Bills.

Perry Farrell is coaching the bills now? When Mangini is fired, will the Brown be coached by a Flock of Seagulls?

Hes just not a very good head coach but he'll find a job as defensive coordinator in no time. While he may not be among the most popular or quotable coaches, he is still very well respected and by all accounts, a very good guy.

I would say GM first but, those things are all on the list too. They got a new offensive line, we just need a real pair of tackles. Then we will be a decent team.

Someone who hates the Bills must have been moderating yesterday.

Anyways, I hope it works out for them. They have entirely too potent of an offense to be stinking it up as badly as they have been.

I'm surprised the Bills hired him in the first place. Jauron was so bad, he convinced the Bear's penny-pinching ownership to fire him and replace him with Lovie Smith.

*punches you and breaks your jaw*

Actually, it seems most likely that Cable is pretty much done after this season. So this is a completely likely scenario. Assuming the Redskins don't pick him up first.

I always liked Jauron - good guy. Players seem to love him and play hard for him. His biggest problem is a commitment to a grind-it-out offense and poor offensive coordinators. His special teams and defense are always tough (when players are healthy).

I think Sherm Lewis should get it. I don't care how old he is he deserves something. His playcalling has been great.

That's why the team sucks. Jauron was a softie. His team practiced in the nice climate controlled field house, didn't hit each other, etc. So when thrown onto the field in cold, windy weather and taking hits the Bills crumple and get injured. Jauron doesn't have the stones to discipline a team, hence why they're one of the leaders in penalties this year.

We need a coach with balls and smarts to make personnel decisions and discipline this team.

I'd like to see Cowher in Buffalo (as coach AND GM), but you know Ralph isn't going to pay that kind of money, especially since he just ate the rest of Jauron's contract.

I still don't understand why Jauron was given an extension in the first place, after three straight losing seasons. Was it really that much of a surprise when the team started off on a fourth straight losing season. What did Wilson learn about Jauron through 9 games that he couldn't have known already after three seasons?

The dysfunction with the Bills starts at the very top and flows down from there. Unfortunately, I think the Bills will only be able to be truly reborn and rejuvenated in the same way that the Chicago Blackhawks were recently. And basically, we have to wait around for that to inevitably happen, so that the team can start anew.

It's been said - a lot - that the only change for the Bills will happen when Wilson runs out of the blood of the young he's been injecting into his veins and dies or sells the team.

The problem with both of these scenarios is that there is no promise that the Bills will remain in Buffalo when that eventually occurs.

Maybe Golisano will save the Bills!

No, no, no. Those are people you have heard of. Those choices make sense. Knowing my beloved Bills, they'll probably pick some special teams coach from some team that folded years ago.

Any former XFL or NFL Europe personnel looking for work, you know where to send your resume!

God knows that Lindy Ruff would do a better job coaching the Bills than any football coach they've actually had for the last decade.

But yeah, the Bills are hopeless. Time to move on to the respectable team in Buffalo. Should crush the Panthers tonight.

Good lord, will Bills fans please quit thinking there is any chance whatsoever that Cowher will go there? He left Pittsburgh to be CLOSER TO HIS FAMILY IN NORTH CAROLINA. Last time I checked, Buffalo is even further away. IF Cowher goes anywhere, it'll be Washington or Carolina.

And Gruden isn't coming either, considering he just signed a contract extension with ESPN.

Schottenheimer is your best shot. At this point, I'm confident in saying anyone in Buffalo would be willing to deal with his annual postseason freeze-up.
