The cool thing about it is that it doubles as an anti-aircraft weapon.

shivashakti [TotalFark] 2009-11-16 11:17:05 PM
Wow. That's awesome!

unyon [TotalFark] 2009-11-16 11:33:34 PM

TommyymmoT [recently expired TotalFark] 2009-11-16 11:59:52 PM
That was pretty cool, though difficult to dance to.

Yep. That's sweeter than dingo milk.

tarkhuna 2009-11-17 12:49:39 AM
His (round) breathing wasn't in time with the instrument. I'm calling it bunk.

The Gentleman Caller 2009-11-17 01:01:15 AM

Back in the eaarly nineties there was a strange group in Dallas playing at Poor David's Pub.

Believe they called themselves Flash The Bang. They played a digeridoo into a Mac SE/30

stranger stuff came out than went into the 'puter.

Metraxis 2009-11-17 01:55:08 AM
Sure, the guy needs to learn to breathe rather than lean on the looper, but all the same, I'm sure John Nathan-Turner would have loved to have one 20 years ago. could have handled his entire audio budget with it. I know he tried.

Heamer 2009-11-17 01:59:08 AM
That looks like a really uncomfortable position to have to squat in for any particularly long performance of that thing.

Nightmaretony 2009-11-17 02:18:38 AM
WANT

The All-Powerful Atheismo 2009-11-17 02:51:15 AM
Didgeridoo? that's a weird name for a musical instrument. I'd have called it a chazzwozzer.

TommyymmoT: That was pretty cool, though difficult to dance to.

RDJ disagrees. (clickypops)

kruppz 2009-11-17 11:51:03 AM
Maybe he'll hook it to auto-tune and create the first digeridoo than can actually play a damn melody.
silly hippy "instrument"

kruppz 2009-11-17 11:52:34 AM

"Say what?!? We've been rockin' this for 1,500 years."

feanturi 2009-11-17 01:57:27 PM
tarkhuna: His (round) breathing wasn't in time with the instrument. I'm calling it bunk.

1) It transmits via bluetooth - there will always be a slight delay from the needed buffer.

2) He's got effects out the yang on that thing, which includes artificial delay/sustain.

3) You're bunk.

Any Pie Left 2009-11-17 01:59:31 PM
it is a digital-do now... Steven Hill from Hearts of Space could play this track for his whole show.

/Yeah, you play the didgeridoo.

red5ish 2009-11-17 04:32:34 PM
Looks like a weapon.

Cops show up on a noise complaint they shoot that guy no questions asked.

xxysyndrome 2009-11-17 05:07:58 PM
That was considerably less cool than I had expected.

phlegmography 2009-11-17 05:19:04 PM
Yeah, but can it play more than one note?

I'll take a piano, thanks.

/also, any $400 synth can do this stuff...without the heavy breathing.

T.rex 2009-11-17 05:31:42 PM
You know what else sounded (exactly) like a digeradoo with some electronic processing?:

Not modified enough. It still sounds like a didgeridoo.
