He's going to record a Loretta Lynn album with her?

This album kicks several metric tons of ass. Wanda rocks. That is all.

I saw her play a couple of years ago in Red Hook. She still has a lot of sass to give.

Just so long as he doesn't try it with Wanda Sykes.

She rocks, all right, but damned if the pic in TFA doesn't make her look like Pennywise.

Van Lear Rose was an excellent album.

Sweet. Looking forward to this.

I've dug everything he's done so far!

Jack is trying to complete a geriatric fetish trifecta.

And that's just his foreplay!

Wanda Jackson is a living legend, saw her again just a few months ago and her voice is just as big as ever. At 72 that chick can wail .. And if you've never heard Riot in Cell Block 9 - go, young grasshopper and find it now. When that tune came out it as scandalous, caused all kinds of uproar.

where's Meg?

Wanda came though either Madison or Milwaukee recently but I was unable to attend. Darn it.

I dig the cover of Funnel of Love that Southern Culture on the Skids does. Actually I dig the whole album.

Why have I never heard of her before? She's better at her age than 98% of the shiat that's out there. Jack White tends to make my douche-meter twitch but if he's bringing her the recognition that's clearly overdue, then he gets a big 'attaboy' from me.

Any Wanda Jackson album is a cause for celebration by anyone who's into rock music. I'm not a slavish Jack White fan, but his recordings with Loretta Lynn were amazing, and I'll be chomping at the bit for a record he produces for Jackson.

What happened to the Jack White/Rolling Stones thing?
