I want that guy filming the next monster invasion.

Usually it's the wedding night before the bride ends up with a warm, sticky fluid all over her face.

I was quite amused by this until I saw the bloody nose on the bride.

HulkHands [TotalFark] 2009-11-16 12:04:56 PM
I'm calling shenanigans. Only person hurt is the bride, who gets a bloody nose off camera but is otherwise unharmed (no facial damage whatsoever).

Actually, I was more amused when I saw the bloody-nose bride.

I'm going to count it as non-faked until someone tells me otherwise.

The bride getting a bloody nose was sad, and (assuming it's not faked), I feel awful for the poor girl. But my favorite bit is that the musicians keep playing as the tent is coming down. They eventually stop, but not before the canopy is quite collapsed. Now THAT's dedication.

Amusing though.

I'm joining the cynics and calling fake. Nobody stops the camera operator from filming tight shots of a bride with a bloody nose on her wedding day? Or the multiple reaction shots from onlookers?

Sorry, funny or not, I'm going with fake.

doctorwormwood 2009-11-16 03:45:48 PM
you farkers are jaded.. obviously not fake.. the carnage that ensued makes it awesome.. and tents you know collapse in increments.. it's possible that the bands section had more supports.. also you didn't see the rest of the tent at all.. and really? the cameraman focusing on the brides bloody face gives it away as a fake? you jackasses are jaded and reaching..

boourns75 2009-11-16 03:46:02 PM
Has anybody suggested this might be fake?

Yeah, it's called a zoom lens, Einstein, he coulda been 25 feet away.

Oh_Enough_Already [recently expired TotalFark] 2009-11-16 03:48:49 PM
In Lithuania and other Baltic/ former soviet states it's a custom to make flavored vodka for weddings by soaking cherries, peaches, etc in vodka before the big day.

A few times a year there's stories about when they've soaked it too long and the alcohol releases the naturally occurring cyanide in the pits and scores of wedding guests die.

Where are the "Oops" videos of that?

Right. And nobody in attendance is going to ask him to knock it off, even from 25 feet away? Just doesn't seem all that likely.

Look, I'm not saying it's a smoking gun. I'm just saying it doesn't add to the believability.

WhyteRaven74 [TotalFark] 2009-11-16 04:02:12 PM
AlexItalics: Right. And nobody in attendance is going to ask him to knock it off, even from 25 feet away? Just doesn't seem all that likely.

Given the shock of what just happened, people wouldn't very likely have the presence of mind to tell him to knock it off right away.

desertmouse [TotalFark] 2009-11-16 04:12:41 PM
I wish it was real, but now that you mention it, the camera work does seem a little too perfect. Also, every single guest is wearing dark or vanilla clothing and has straight, conservative hair. If it's fake, they went overboard to make her stand out with the red sparkle dress, frizzy hair, etc.

WHO is gonna go to the trouble, expense, planning, manpower, formal-wear rentals, musicians, tents, etc to fake something THAT big?

It's not viral, it's not shot well, and it has no witty dialogue.

Hence, it has NONE of the halmarks of a "fake" vid.

If you think it's fake, you need to have more friends.
Especially ones who get married.
I can't count how many attention whores I've seen who get drunk and act that way, ESPECIALLY at a wedding.
And the red dress? Please. I've seen some women show up in halter tops when everyone else is wearing proper dresses.

/old enough to have been to a LOT of weddings

did it look like the camera man was trying to "accidentally" get an up-skirt shot of the lady with white shoes to anyone else?

What I was coming here to say.

Was REALLY hoping that was my BIL's recent wedding though.

Yeah, so Heinekin bought the rights to the vid, what' your point?

There no Heinies in that footage, no beer at all.

Do you think the Holocaust was fake also?

Oh that's not my problem with it. I wouldn't be surprised at this happening in real life at all. I've been to weddings with people nearly arrested, with the best man giving up way too much info about the groom during the speech, a man getting into a fight with cars... oh I have no doubt that this could happen.

No what makes me wonder about the video is that it's actually pretty well shot. It actually looks like it's trying to be amateur. I guess the cameraman could just be good, but it's kind of odd how he actually captured everything pretty well.

That said, who cares. It's funny.

Actually, I think it's shot very well (hence why I posted the Cloverfield pic). All the framing is excellent with quick pans and zooms on anguished faces and interesting action. Plus I'm pretty sure there's a cut at 0:33.

That's what I'm talking about, to "fake" that video would cost 10 grand, why would anyone even consider doing that?
