I was sick of these guys around the 5th time in a row my idiot roommate played their single loud enough to hear through the whole house.

I saw Jesse Baylin open for Matt Nathanson last year. The only highlight from her completely boring set was the ongoing debate between my wife and me over the gender of her androgynous guitarist who compulsively used the whammy bar after every single note and chord s/he played.

I was getting a drink at Sneaky's in Snowmass last winter and I overheard some old dude talking to some other old dude about his daughter having just gotten engaged - "Have you ever heard of the Kings of Leon? She just got engaged to the drummer. No, I've never heard any of his music..." It struck me as very interesting at the time.

Pretty much. I liked one of their new songs (and disliked another one) but had never heard their earlier stuff. A dude at work brought in their first album last week and it's pretty farking killer. Now I understand why everyone is so disappointed in their new direction.
