The cost of said investigation will be borne by the American taxpayer, while any fines resulting from said investigation will be paid through a combination of reductions in distributions to shareholders and reductions in line staff positions.

I was at the hardware store on Saturday picking up some odds and ends for the plumbing I'm doin on the house and as I was checking out this woman goes up to one of the kids working there and is states her name and says she's from BofA. I can only imagine this kid was default on a loan or something and they sent this biatch out to harass him at work.

As I was driving home I thought to myself I should have said something about how bad bank of america sucks cock and that kid should under no circumstances be talking to that woman without a lawyer.

I hope you fiscal liberals are paying attention. Government got involved bailing out a company it shouldn't have, now it's getting involved in investigating a company (which it should never do). In either case, colossal amounts of your money have been completely wasted in the process of propping up a company that isn't efficient enough to survive.

There's a really easy way to keep them from visiting you (at work): Call them. They only resort to field visits if they can't get you on the phone. You don't even have to make payment arrangements, either.

Plenty of truth to this. I personally know a guy who bought a 60" flatscreen TV on credit.... then when he wasn't making the payments, the company called him. He told them "Well, I need to declare bankruptcy. Do you want to renegotiate?" Ended up getting the TV for a significant discount by extorting the company. When he told me this story, I wanted to break his nose.

There are some people truly farked by the system, and I feel sorry for them. But there are large populations of A) People gaming the system, and B) Idiots who can't manage their own funds. BOA may be an evil company but they are lenders to deadbeats as well as working stiffs.

It's a cute idea, but the current system essentially guarantees a monarchy of the rich and corrupt.

If you want your vote to mean something, massive campaign and campaign finance reform would have to occur.

They're definitely an evil company, but as you've pointed out, so are the people they're often chasing down. I knew a guy that as soon as he bought his house he started sucking out the equity. Drained tens of thousands of dollars to pay off credit cards and buy ridiculously expensive electronics and furniture. When the house stopped appreciating, he sold it as a short sale and now just purchased a previously-foreclosed house. At less than 40% its peak price. With zero money down, thanks to our govt's retarded first time home buyers tax credit. And he still has all the goodies from his previous equity liquidation. I don't want to break his nose, I want to douse him with gasoline and light him on fire.

/not a cool story bro

Had a boss that did that when a collector called work looking for one of our bartenders. He didn't do her any favors, as her car got repossessed in the parking lot during the dinner rush.

The current climate really is an evocative demonstration of how demagogues come to power. When the alternative to supporting the Nazis is supporting the Wiemar Republic, you'll find a lot of people stuck between a rock and a hard place and saying some foolish things.

Anyone who thinks that a revolution will result in a fairer, more prosperous America are dreaming. Unfortunately, anyone who thinks we can reform ourselves back to a clean and efficient government are also nuts.

It's amazing what people will do to keep "their" cars without paying for them. One of our repo agents had the shiat kicked out of him a couple weeks ago by the debtor's 25-year-old son. It happened in a public area, with a half dozen witnesses, in the early evening. The paperwork was all in order, and the debtor knew this was coming.

I have no idea how failing to pay for a car and refusing to surrender it ISN'T considered theft.

Nope, they never will.

Politicians have taken the page from the union busters playbook and have ran with it. Divide and conquer and all that.
That is why we have the loony left and the rabid right. People of the USA will never unite and work together to take back the country.
